currently on picrel that i bought in 2019, it's an absolute piece of shit. the r7 3750h is basically on the same level as a 3570k from 2012 despite having 4 more threads and the 1660 ti keeps cooking itself even after repasting everything with gc-extreme (it's back to 85c on both the cpu and gpu after like 4 months) and the "ips-level" tn panel is the dimmest piece of shit i've ever seen.
my budget is 1400€ and used laptops are fine. don't care about battery life or weight or thickness, i only care about having something that doesn't cook itself or the surface it's resting on. an xx70-class gpu would be nice but i'll gladly take a xx60-class if the thermals are that much better.

OP I...

>>109684989
my bad i forgot that we live in a world where every oem is retarded and keeps feeding shit 50% more current than it actually needs
>>
>>109685014
Can't you undercurrent it?
I am not the most tech literate person here but I remember some motherboards did allow you more control with clock speed and voltage assignment.

>>109684934
Just buy a desktop faggot what you are asking for is physically impossible just go check how many watts a radiator can dissipate at a delta temp of 50deg and you'll understand
>>
>>109685026
no, amd made it so that these zen+ ryzens can't be undervolted
and afterburner doesn't let me undervolt the gpu no matter what i try

HP Omen (probably the only HP model series the didn't fuck up)
Lenovo Legion.

>$1500
Nope.

>HP Omen
are you sure? my best friend basically bought the intel equivalent of my laptop (but with a 1050 ti) and he had to get rid of it because the thing actually cooked itself to death (just intel things)

Works like a charm
Not perfect but pretty damn good.

>>109684934
you're looking for ARM laptops. buy a macbook unironically. the hardware optimization is insane
>>
>>109686068
i already own an older intel macbook for other purposes, i don't really need an arm one

Fuck off

kys you stupid faggot

why is he mad?
>>
>>109686186
nta but these posts are all the same. a retarded op makes a post looking for something and then she proceeds to argue over every suggestion the anons post. seems like they are just cluttering up the board with attention seeking.
>>
>muh clutter

Get one of those llano cooler that makes jet engine noise to cool down the laptop.
>>
>>109684934
any sager

Get a used Thinkpad P16 gen 2 with RTX 2000 ADA. Its an 8gb cuck card but exact same chip as RTX 4060. The thermals are decent and build quality great, as well as the panel. Its very colorful and bright, but the best looking one is 60hz, so get the 165hz panel if you can.
But anon your post is quite contradictory, you can never get "good" thermals for gayming or workstation laptops, unless you consider 85 C to be normal. Which is why all gaming laptop CPUs have higher max temp threashold. If you really want good thermals then i suggest you get a cooling pad for your newly bought laptop

you can't if the manufacturer provides a completely inadequate cooling solution, this thing wasn't meant to cool a 1660 ti + a 35w cpu
anyway, i looked for that thinkpad and unfortunately the very few ones i found are all 2000+€ used
there's a p15 gen 2 with the a2000, 11850h and 32gb for 1100€, how's that?
>>
>>109687152
Depends where you live really, i guess i was lucky to buy mine at 1200$ 2 years ago before the ram craze, with the same card i told you about.
That p15 is quite expensive with the specs, if you were going with that generation might as well get it with the Xeon version since it supports AVX-512 which is important if you're ever going to play PS3 games through emulation with RPCS3. That laptop would be around ~750 euros before the AI craze.
>>
>>109684934
for 1400 you can buy a mid range pc

grim

wtf

Don't use extreme paste for long term use, it's meant to be used for a few days max to get good benchmark scores.
