Why is it saying marxist things...?
>>
why did the designer put TOPS in the second row, when there is clearly enough horizontal space to fit everything and keep consistency. Amateur hour

You said LLM. For large LLMs it is. Not for comfyUI

why would you use comfyui shit on a mac if mflux and drawthings are much better and faster?
>>
>>109685865
Because AI/AGI itself is a marxist concept. Or at least a solution. Seizing the means of production means the death of private ownership. What does that mean? Well it means the state then gets to dictate how all resources are utilized.

Capitalism with private ownership and free markets determines how resources are allocated via price signaling. In socialism, there is no price signaling as the state central planners require they themselves to determine where resources are allocated to. But unfortunately the central planners will never have the proper information in which to determine where the resources get allocated.

Socialists argue that this is due to not having computers powerful enough in which to calculate where each resource ought to go. So they hope that an eventual super powerful computer will come into existence that can finally solve this problem for them.

But at the end if the day they don't understand the problem itself. That the only way to run a proper economy is to get the input from each individual.
>>
>>109685895
Using comfyui on Pro and Max tier apple silicon is trivial actually. Especially if you have "turbo" models and "lightning" loras.
>>
>>109685903
so marxism is when everyone votes on everything?
i thought that's democracy

>Very slow.
Apple M5 Ultra (36-core CPU, 80-core GPU) with 96 GB of unified memory is plenty fast, whoever wrote it must be comparing the Mac that is of equivalent price of something like RTX 5090, in which case of course the RTX card is going to be better.

Nta. Per my own understanding that's not quite it. Democracy in the way most people understand is that "everyone" votes on representatives to enact policies based on the wants and needs (lol) of the people that voted them in so the population doesn't have to constantly do the heavily lifting of frequency voting on what needs to be implemented and changed, hence public officials often being referred to as "servants of the public" (lol, lmao). One of the issues with this, amount many, many, MANY others, is that you're allowed to pay them to vote certain ways even if it's detrimental to the interests of the people that put the officials in power in the first place (lobbying)
>>
>>109685984
Why are /lit/ posters so antisemitic? Wtf
>>
>>109685957
Everyone does not "vote" on how resources are allocated under socialism. The central planners are the supreme decision makers for how resources are allocated.

Under free market capitalism say you want to raise an apple orchard and start up your own cider making business. You want to sell apples, cider, maybe like a bar onsight while also getting your cider out for distribution. You have a chance of making this business under our system. Sure it will likely fail if you're not smart about it.

But under say a socialist paradigm. If the central planners make an arbitrary decision such that resources and labour are not allocated in order to raise this orchard.

Your ability to get other people to hand you dollars for selling your apples and cider are what drives you to even run the operation. This "vote" is already coming from individuals themselves.
>>
>>109685984
Ya you can view it basically as the super wealthy trying to hijack the process of democracy. The wealthy are really insecure at the end of the day and hate the fact that other people might have equal voting power. They'd rather everything be decided by dollar amounts. But some things shouldn't be handled that way since just because you have a lot of money. Doesn't actually mean you're smart enough to make decisions for everyone on everything. Nor should they have a right to do so. The whole paypal mafia guys should be a good example. Paypal, great concept of a product fulfills a good want from the people. Brought them a shit ton of money. They now have to keep going... "what do I do next? Oh how about space and mars..."

Or even zuckerberg in a way. "I don't know how to build a dam." At least he's smart enough to admit that.

It's out of date. M5 has matmul in the GPU cores now. M5 Ultra 80-core might not be 6000 Pro-fast, but it's going to be fast enough, and at least have enough memory to run DeepSeek V4 Flash at q4. This is what I'm gonna run: https://huggingface.co/Vontra/DeepSeek-V4-Flash-0731-MXFP4-MLX

The real issue with representative democracy is that the representatives no longer fear that they'll be killed if they don't vote for the wants and needs of the people who put them in power.
If your local politician actually was genuinely concerned that his car would explode if he voted for the wrong thing...
