There are people on this board right now that still use imperative caveman distros.
>>109688434Please tell me you are joking
>>109688441isnt it strange that despite being only the 94% of the board population, imperativvers are the ones who post most of the retarded nonsensical garbage here?

Why isn't Nix written in Nix?

name a single thing immutable distros offer than you cant get on any other distro with filesystem snapshots
I don't understand this obsession with reproduceable build. Just write software, build it, ship it. Why does it require some ideology around it? Why would I even want to build it myself? I literally don't care and never will.it's like people who don't care about vim... I doc are about vim, but trying to convince someone that modular text editing is the only right way is futile and even harmful. And I am ready to admit that in the age of LLMs writing most of the code it's borderline useless to argue about this editor shit. But at least with editors I can see where the passion comes from - I literally spend hours in my editor. But with this packaging and building shit? Why would anyone even care so much?Anyway frens, I'm gonna go watch doggo reels now and write funny comments.
>>109689534reproducible builds and immutable distros are two different things. the difference is reproducible builds are solving a problem, and immutable distros are to keep the unemployed indoors
