>but not Discord or BlueskylolLmao even
>>109695898What does that even mean? Explain please, I am just a dummy german beer faggot. Thank you
i don't understand why these companies who keep dealing with the eu's retarded shit don't just outright block the eu so they don't have to deal with this + eu citizens will know who to blame
>>109695927it means they have more work to do and if they don't do it right we get some money
>>109695927the eu gestapo wants to read your chats, that's what it means
At what point will they just say F that we're not going to serve the EU anymore? Ungrateful Europoors are not going to be paying a lot anway.
>>109695938who is "we", faggot? only politicians and their companies get money. fucking retard
on the bright side, if you regulate the fuck out of large companies, then doesn't that spawn more smaller companies?like if you preferred the less-centralized internet of the 2000s when there were more websites to go to
>>109695946Ok I have no problem with that. I don't use chatty or reddit. I just groom kids on roblox (in minecraft)
>>109695963Most of the EU's digital regulations had the complete opposite effect. The barriers to entry are greatly increased, meanwhile established players will just eat the cost as part of doing business.
>>109695963Only if you fund the small companies. Nobody does this except the US, and the US recently stopped doing this as well. Shit is very very fucky right now.
>>109695991Fake news. The regulations don't apply to small companies at all, and are very lax for medium companies.
>>109695956the EU of course :-) it's not _that_ corrupt
Good thing Iceland made the right choice.
>>109695999Not this one in particular obviously but the regulations for starting a digital business are still orders of magnitude higher than in the US.Have you tried opening a business in Germany? You are already with one foot in the courtroom. Especially because not only the government can sue you (in fact the government is the lesser of your worries) but private individuals or mafia-like "interest groups" who can sue you privately ON BEHALF of these regulations.
>>109696002you're delusional
>>109696019funny. I told someone that just a while ago.
>>109696018inb4 some cuck saying this isn't true
>>109695898Correct, bluesky isn't very large
>>109695927It means EU is looking for a way to fine those companies.
>>109695898But also not 4chan.. oh wait its from lack of the "very large" part. How pathetic and embarrassing.
>>109695927>what is beureaucracyEven beureaucrats don't like beureacuracy, that gives you enough information about it
>>109696018>but the regulations for starting a digital business are still orders of magnitude higher than in the US.Not true in the EU, but true in select countries. Germanic countries in particular have bullshit levels of red tape for everything related to starting a company. In the UK (I know, no longer EU, but still. replace with Estonia if you prefer), you just pay 100 quids and you're up and running in 24 hours, nothing else you need to do. It's slower, more expensive, and you have to comply to more regulations to do a delaware C corps. The reporting requirements for the former is also nothing compared to the latter.
>>109696081I guess that's great for all 7 people living in Estonia
>>109696062That's a good thing>>109696073It's okay if the botnets get some bureaucracy. Europe is at war. bureaucracy is our weapon
>>109696087Just like the delaware c corps, you don't have to actually be located there to register there.
>>109695951yeah but they usually make more than the fines>>109696087> >doesn't know about e-residency
>>109696097>>109696126>you don't have to actually be located there to register there.> >doesn't know about e-residencyIt would be a nice idea, just like many things in the EU, but all it does is actually double your bureaucracy because Germany counts the "Place of Effective Management", i.e. if you are physically within the country it does not matter where your country is registered. In the end you will have to deal with Estonian AND German bureaucracy and you can be rest assured that if a German faggot bureaucrat will see your company setup in Estonia he will make sure to triple check audit every single one of your tax returns
>>109696131>where your country is registeredwhere your company is registered is what I meant to say
>>109696131That's, again, a german problem. You act as if germany is the entire EU for some reason.
>>109696140>You act as if germany is the entire EU for some reason. If Germany left, the EU would collapse within months
“Hey we’re not paying and we’re not doing business with the EU goodbye”They’re all poor and irrelevant anyway. That easy
>>109696131But what if I was a black migrant from Somalia?
>>109696168>Somaliamore difficult these day, but if you are a gypsy from Romania or a 29-year old "kid" from Syria who "lost his passport" you can skip right past all the bureaucracy
>>109695898They deemed imessage as a big messaging app and it's barely used in the EU.
>>109696180I now formally identify as a 29 year old gypsy child from Romania. Where do I collect my HerzIV check?
>>109696188right this way sir

>>109696468It's only fair after the US destroyed nordstream taking away EU's access to cheap energy.I say bring it on. Tax all US companies operating in the EU triple.
>>109695927>What does that even mean?the EU wants to drastically increase it's budget and Germany said "no", so now they are just looting some companies for money instead
>>109696566>EU's access to cheap energy.Gas is not cheap
>>109695999I was reading about some Euro bike forum that was going to have to shut down because of the new laws they were proposing.
>>109696157I wish that happened
>>109696597Yeah not anymore. Thanks to the US.
>>109696157While the EU has been, on the whole, terrible (with a few good things like unified trade laws and free travel, though mitigated by top-down immigration policy enforcement), the fact is it's done a lot of good lately. Instead of 99% terrible, it's like 40% terrible now.Anyway, UK was, and now germany is, the primary driver of all the bad shit that the EU ever does.
>>109696605That was a British forum that had to close because of their draconian Digital ID laws, not anything in the EU AFAIK.

>>109695898seriously why not discord?
>>109695898Ironically there's little difference b/t ChatGPT and running a local model with web search enabled. bEUrocrats are starving for money, but money dont grow on american tree comrades.dont expect registering another 20 vistes to White House of Soros. you arent welcome.
>>109695999>The regulations don't apply to small companies at allGDPR applies to companies of all sizes, and even to individuals running a personal blog if they process EU citizens' data, e.g. have a sign-up for comments
>>109695898Good fuck Reddit. But this will probably make Reddit even worse. I don’t care cuz I havnt used them since they permabanned me 7 years ago. >>109695933>>109695951EU is like 1/4 of their revenue and US tech is too judaised to reject European money
>>1096971351/4 of 0$ is still 0$I say just leave the EU and let them deal with itIf they keep playing along they are silently legitimizing it
>>109697154Your companies are kikes and kiles won't let go of money, so they'll eat up one fine after anotherDon't like it? Make your companies less jewish, good luck with that
>>109697169I'm not American dude
>>109696957In practice though, an individual not located there can safely ignore those those requirements if they have no business happening there and no pretense. It might not be recommended to travel there if noticed and openly ignoring it, since that's the only way it could be enforced besides being blocked. Businesses tend to care because they like money.
>>109697185Good for you. But the reason still stands, EU is a huge market with lots of money involved, so the vague threat of being forced out of it is enough to make US tech corpos eat up one fine after another, and they won't leave on their own, because them leaving means a huge market vacuum that will be filled by a competitor willing to play along. If this happens US corpos will suddenly find themselves having lost a huge market share to a competitor, which is something they are trying to avoid at all cost. Which is why they are eating the shit the EU throws at them like candy, because the alternative is losing a huge share of the market to a competitor, or even worse, creating a new competitor to fill the void.

>>109695933>>109695951They can't do that because that would bring happiness to the europeans and that's the last thing the us lawmakers want.
>>109695951>don't play ball>competitors play ball>competitors get cash infusion and start encroaching in your turf.that's why.
>>109695991correct. GDPR for example lead to a lot more concentration of the top players compared to smaller businesses (https://www.gsb.stanford.edu/faculty-research/publications/privacy-market-concentration-intended-unintended-consequences-gdpr)there was also a statistic I saw back then about publishers (those providing ad space). I think the big 5 increased their revenue by a lot thanks to GDPR while especially smaller websites suffered greatlyusing regulations as a way to increase barrier to entry is a old business strategy to entrench your advantage as one of the leading companies. everyone (tried to) use it to destroy any incumbents and smaller competitors so that you can either buy them cheap or get their customers. Or to keep it simple: A 10b company doesn't care about hiring 50 lawyers to deal with a complex regulatory framework. A 1m company will go bankrupt
>>109696158Then china will take europe or europeans will start using Mistral who will host deepseek. DeepSeek flash = Luna so it's close enough to chatgpt.
>>109697294Which is even worse, because that means it is an active disadvantage for European businesses. An American, Chinese, etc. can happily start a digital service worldwide, serving everyone and doesn't have to comply with EU regulations because they are not located in the EU. They can still take EU money because everything is digital. Meanwhile someone in the EU will instantly get sued if they do that.Foreigners only really have to start caring about that once they setup a business presence in Europe at which point they are large enough to just hire 15 lawyers and eat the regulartory overhead.
>>109695933cause they like money, retard.>>109695951>be grateful for reddit, goy.
>>109695933Because China would fill the vacuum almost instantly
>>109697812>They can still take EU money because everything is digitalThat depends on how. Some ways can be blocked by targeting any banks that allow it, and they can try to put pressure there if they think it's worth it.
