What's wrong with duckduckgo? I stopped using Startpage years ago when I saw they monitor your searches, you couldn't search for "loli" and I assume more dangerous words.

I'm not sure if it does the same thing just without a bar though because sometimes it takes a bit to load. I just use regular Google for things that might be harder to find, but it throttles me and gives me captchas sometimes.
