Multimedia drivers from specific OEMs simply doesn't work or are very half-assed in crapnux. Take the picrel for example: manufacturer said that newer HD Audio drivers won't be standalone packages for kernels above 3.18, also lied about drivers being updated to upstream and got away with it.
Now I can't build the driver for my microphone anymore because of some bullshit like that.
