Choosing between integrated electronics (ICs, FPGA-ASIC and also PCB manufacturing, assembly, testing...) and controls (lots of math, computer vision, sensor fusion, "AI", robotics but also some diagnostics and avionics courses) majors. I would like to make certifiable safety-critical electronics primarily (but not only) for aviation, as I already work in the field. What now? Which one is the future? Which one is more filled with indians? Will there be more slop in FPGA design or Simulink?
