based and disc pilled. get some extra drives too. maybe even learn how to work on them. your future self will thank you.
>>
use dvdisaster to bake parity data into the free space, and always check the burns
>>

Those 100GB discs are not real M-Disks, they're just regular 4 layer Blu-rays made by Ritek. You'll be lucky if they last even 5 years.

The 1000 year claim only applies to M-Disc DVDs.
>>
>>109709272
Nice FUD.
I need it to last for the rest of my life.
I have 2 copies of each disc.
>>
>>109709272
Burning to disk is retarded in 2026 but your claim about m-disc is false. Anything above 25GB in bluray IS m-disk, for a long time now. Stop spreading false info.
>>
>>109709206
>hamas
better keep a close eye on them after they're burned
>>
>>109709399
How is this retarded? Discs last longer than HDDs and the data can't be modified by fucking windows defender.
>>
>>109709206
But OP, you have nothing worth backing up.

In all seriousness, aren't 100GB disks kind of small and an inconvenience?
>>
>>109709499
I managed to split my important shit into 15x100GB discs. That's 30 discs for 2x copies. Unimportant shit goes on NAS.
>>
>>109709487
I have a 22T mirror of old gogoanime and animepahe (up to when senpwai stopped working this year). Tell me how to back up 22T to bluray without it taking forever and costing a fortune.

hope you store them in argon because they'll be rusting away otherwise
>>
>>109709784
Get a tape drive? Also anime shit is not important.
>>
>>109709814
This means all their discs are better, idiot.
>>
>>109709837
>going from the ceramic lithographic ablation to the standard metal oxidation that can be driven by oxygen intrusion is... better!!!!!!!
what the fuck kind of copium are you on? just buy regular discs instead of overpriced M-discs (which are the exact fucking same now) if that's the case you big retarded faggot
>>
>>109709212
did you pay 200 dollars for that 5pack?
>>
>>109709900
$95.52
>>
>>109709206
I'm one step ahead of you, my backups are in paper form
>>
>>109709206
100gb lmao

Take the LTO pill.
>>
>>109709917
holy shit you're so stupid. You could buy a 2tb external hard drive with that money
>>
>>109710272
does it come with a 1000 year warranty?

I burned my 4chan images from 2006 to 2017 xD. Future will thank me.
>>
>>109709262
We used to fill up unused space with .PAR files. Is that still a thing?
>>
>>109709949
Printing your pictures is the smartest of moves.
>>
>>109710544
I worry more about what is a waste of money right now than a hypothetical scenario 1000 years from now when the human race will either be extinct or will use laser etched glass for storage.
>>
>>109709520
This sounds painful.
