Should I buy this bros?
Are these things vendor locked like how certain Dell cpus were/are?
Doesn't look like it will connect to my PCIE slot so I am guessing I will need some sort of expensive server board (supermicro perchance?) or adapter to make it work.

If you can get a server to stick it in then sure. Looks like you'll also need a cooling solution for it.
