>Brave Outperforms Firefox and Chrome.

Get brave and install the Brave Browser /g/!
>>
>>109712634
Cool, I'll keep using Firefox + Arkenfox + my custom CSS + uBO on my 9800X3D/5090/128GB.
Have fun with an AdBlocker that is factually worse than even uBO Lite.
>>

>an AdBlocker that is factually worse than even uBO Lite
Source other than "I'm retarded"? I'm using Brave Origin and have 0 issues with ads.

>>
>>109712634
Speed isn't the only metric, all these 4 companies make money off your data. Only Apple doesn't sell safari data to other companies.
>>
>>109712634
No I don't think I will
>>
I never had speed issues with any browser. Not even with Netscape 4.7.
>>
>>109712634
The shields will make brave faster than other chromium browsers because the other content blockers don’t work as well but the context lies in how many tabs you have open

Around 15 tabs Firefox will run better than chromium because it limits itself to only 8 processes for all those tabs, chromium spins up a new process for each tab. So chromium (and by extension brave) is probably better on older hardware but people who need a ton of tabs open on newer hardware will appreciate Firefox more. This is the exact opposite of what most people think, since they usually think chromium is too heavy for old PCs while Firefox is built for lower end rigs, but they’re wrong
>>
Doesnt brave have a crypto miner in it
>>
>>109712634
Please tell me this is a bait.
>>
>>109713016
Only have 4-5 open at a time.
>>
>>109713163
At the very least, chromium will use less RAM with 5 tabs open

Edge is faster than brave
>>
>>109712634
genuinely don't care about the speed of my browser, it's never going to be the bottleneck. modern web is slow regardless of your browser anyway

I’ve begun using comfy ui for video generation and it pushes the limits of my machine. However, I’ve found running comfy in Firefox (my chosen browser) leads to slow downs. I opened comfy in edge browser and my computer has no problem surfing the web while I generate.
>>
isn't brave just an ad for some cryptocurrency or something? is it actually a real browser?

I'll switch once they add a menubar.
>>

When it got started they had a cryptocurrency that people could earn by clicking anonymous ads, that was how they got off the ground with finances but it looks like they’re starting to switch to a model that makes money via search ads and selling access to their search api to Anthropic and other companies

In most markets the rewards system now is opt in and requires a crypto wallet to work so they were gonna have to move away from that by necessity anyways
>>
>>109714952
it's some kind of malware for jeets that promises you 0.0001 dollar (crypto) per day if you install it and click on ads and shit
>>
>>109712670
>hey boss, this user is using ff + arkenfox
>oh he is? ok is there any tangential telemetry we can use to ID this guy?
>oh yeah, tonnes, we know his name, address, hobbies, school, gf, family etc.

It's like those guys that before they leave the house they stack their pockets with their EDC, though they've never used it for 5+ years.

Right track, wrong vehicle.
>>
>>109712634
If speed is your concern you can use Betterfox- fastfox settings, and still get to use uBO.

Privacy and anonymity are 2 different things
>>
>>109712634
Peter Thiel is paying ads on this board or what?
>>
>>109716037
You either take the maximalist approach to privacy or you have neither. Half measures, like arkenfox, mulvad vpn/browser, 9999dns etc - they all amount to effectively 0.

In your head you think that you have x amount of layers of defence, in reality your disparate user entities (defined by meta data collection) are inexorably linked. Ergo, no privacy, no anonymity.
>>
>>109715205
Is Betterfox related to Bettbird? Same dev?
>>

I use Firefox to leave the jewgle plantation

fake news.
Google is paying Apple $20 billion/year for Safari's data
>>
>>109712634
Buy an ad, faggot
>chromium
>>
>>109715191
So a VC backed browser which earns money by selling your data?
Wooowww I wonder why everybody’s making fun of it lmao
>>109716100
Retard
>>
>>109716593
no retard, Google pays Apple $20 billion a year to keep their search engine as the default option.
>>
>>109716680
that's also any keystroke you enter in safari's address bar
>>
>>109716053
Firefox’s built in AI partner got $300 million in donations raised from Andreessen Horowitz, yet everyone fixates on a $5 million donation Brave got when it was a startup from a foundation Thiel just had his name attached to almost a decade ago, how interesting
>>
>>109712691
>I'm using Brave Origin and have 0 issues with ads
when I used brave youtube would keep reloading the video infinitely until I refreshed the page, and it was the shitty adblocker causing it
>>
>deletes all my passwords after the next update
I will never use a Chromium derivative again if I can at all help it. I never lose them because I have backups. but the process of constantly finding them suddenly missing after an update and then needing to re-import is fucking stupid when it happens multiple times a year.
>>
>>109713471
I would edge faster to her if you know what I mean
>>
>>109716762
my Safari only sends a request after I hit the return key. I don't have suggestions.

>So a VC backed browser
It is not VC backed at all. It actually earns revenue on its own. No VC at all.
>by selling your data
It doesn't sell data at all, where in gods green earth do you drooling niggers even crawl out from? I cannot understand where in
>cryptocurrency sales
>search API sales
>search ad placement
>vpn sales direct to users
>browser sales direct to users
You somehow came up with "sells your data".
You homosexual Mozilla fans really aren't sending your best.

Or 4chan
>>
funny because I was testing the other day and brave is 4x slower than other browsers when fullscreening a youtube video
Their vertical tab implementation is shit, they rushed it to be one of the first and now they can't keep up
>>
>>109712670
It's absolute shit. All the pop ups get through somehow.
>>
>>109712691
Then you've never used a torrent site or a manga piracy site.
