In the off chance you're not feigning ignorance, DHH made some fairly reasonable offhand comments about Britain "remaining British".
Those supporting the Instrumentality merge lost their shit and brigaded the framework computer forums and other places to try to get him cancelled.
What you're seeing is an agent of SEELE lashing out at his moment of defiance.
The real irony is DHH is probably a bigger advocate of Instrumentality than they are.

https://itsfoss.com/news/omarchy-ai-agent-focus/
>Omarchy doesn't care about any of that. Its upcoming release, Quattro (4.0), is skipping the debate over whether AI should write code and is building AI agents into the desktop itself.

It seems Omarchy has so much context and history I'm unaware of, of course I'd heard of DHH but didn't realize he pissed off a bunch of people about some bullshit politics totally unrelated to computers. is "woke" alive and well i guess? I thought that version of leftism died but then again some retards closed down an entire intersection for weeks because a nigger got killed and the city did nothing to reopen the streets (four ways, lots of traffic, busy intersection)

idk man i guess im living in an entirely different world then you guys and i should go back to drinking at the lake what the fuck did i walk into

DHH should just use MacOS golden gate if he cares about device running private LLM.
I guess his main issue is that macOS is not really agentic, LLM can't control his entire desktop and every app?

There are cultural and technological layers to unification.
Both sides are ultimately complicit in reducing the human race to identityless, cloud-connected, agentic globoslop.

I actually fucking love my experience on Omarchy so far. I first set it up on a Surface 3 tablet, which ironically can barely even run windows, and it was originally packaged with it. A while back I put Mint on it, which pretty much revised the device, but there were a number issues with it off the bat. Within minutes I had Grok fix everything, made a bunch of really cool widgets, and in the last couple of days I’ve made a bunch of actually useful apps. It runs amazingly. It’s even helping me make a home AI lab which distributes the agent workload among all of my different devices and uses frontier models for the heavy work. DHH is right. I haven’t had this much fun on a computer since the 90s. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time in life these days to get deep into ricing and troubleshooting, which has been a limiting factor for me using Linux in recent years, so I feel like I am the perfect target audience for this distro. Now I just viberice everything within minutes. It’s no longer frustrating and saves so much time. It’s just pure fun!
>>
>>109737213
I have no idea why that anon has to speak in anime metaphor other than maybe to denigrate his political opponents.
The stuff is this: creator of Omarchy got flak for his political views. He repeatedly spoke in favor of ethnic cleansing(of a country he never lived in, if I recall correctly) and directly linked Roma existing to wolves that need to be shot. He just leaves the "kill them all" part of the sentence unsaid, as if it wasn't obvious that that is required to follow through on his goals. On top of that he is well-connected in silicon valley tech bro circles, which gave a shitton of money to Omarchy.

So the lefty, hippie, "fuck the man" and anti-AI people all to various degrees feel Omarchy is their opponents moving in on Linux. But there's still a lot of guys in those camps saying "I don't like the guy, but Linux advancing is good".
