If you didn't spend the last four years figuring out how to feed your family when AI has made you economically worthless, I have bad news. Your time is up.
>>
>>109749707
Well mr goldberg you can figure out how to make it so that I'm fed and happy posting frog pictures on /g/
or we can both get together and start brainstorming whether me being hungry in a country where guns grow on trees is just a me problem or whether its a problem for both of us
>>
>making the backrooms takes days to weeks in blender
what if, hypothetically, he doesn't actually have any skills in blender

You won't do shit.

i gave up
i doubt there's a solution or a purpose I could fulfil
the solution is to secede and form communes, but i'm a lazy slob who can't do that

In usa depending on what field you studied recent grads might be very out of luck with their field being consumed by AI while they keep their student debt

why is it that artists bitch and moan about ai so much. as a programmer ive probably spent the same amount of time as an average - decent artist perfecting my skill and get better all the time and think ai is useful im not scared of being replaced because im good at what i do. artists get all up in arms over it do they think being good at drawing / modelling makes them special? its a skill like any other

How do you help humanity continue it's journey by automatizing everything esepecially art and let everything overrun by slop?
Humanity never had similar tech ever. 0iq indian faggot

>im not scared of being replaced because im good at what i do.
Most CEO's don't care about good, they just want good enough. All they care about is line go up, how many steps are we away from not even needing a programmer to type in a prompt, the CEO can just say, "GTP-9, make me such and such," and it just shits it out.

jewish scam
>>
>>109750137
unlike code monkeys, artsy positions were already rather niche in the real economy and very competitive even before AI, so most artists worked freelance.
So now the freelance market gets nuked by AI because every timmy can create whatever he wants with a few prompts, no need to pay some random guy on twitter anymore who takes half a year to finish your commission.
The very skilled and creative ones will probably do fine and even use AI to some extent, but most artists basically only learned how to draw muh kawai anime girls which are impossible to distinguish from AI generated ones.

apparently I'm approximately 400x faster than this 'blender artist'. Took about as long as astra 5 did.
The astra image is more vhs fucked up than mine to be fair.
I have talentless hack fatigue. In this case I mean the guy complaining mostly. Though people remaking the backrooms before ai even existed were already hacks, let alone using ai to do it for them.

I never had a job and my wife is 2D

Some guy had Astra make Simpsons Hit and Run from scratch and open-sourced it lol.

ye im thinking vidya game idea guys won. what is the solved status on sound fx/music/animations/story/env design ?

nta, that's precisely why they're trying to portray it as le based, because it's a trap set for them to fall into

Am I going to be as disappointed in this if I try it out to one shot my basic game as I was when I had fable try it?

It won't be their job for long if it's so easy.
And even if it is - if it's easy, anyone can do it.
And, if you were just the slightest bit observant, you may have noticed that jobs anyone can do have shitty pay.
>>
>>109750252
>similar transition
You are lying/coping and you know it. Industrial revolution created a boatload of new jobs. If you tended to horses and were made obsolete by cars you could work in a factory with no negative impact on income. Now what you gonna do after having a decade-long career, sew t-shirts for $1/day? Or wageslave at a construction site where insane competition from immigrants pushed wages to rock bottom? They will just import more young indians and your old unc ass is not needed.
Prompt engineering is a fake field btw.

If you don't sculpt, animate or texture, you're already replaced. If you do, you still have some time, AI sculpts look weird, AI animations are janky and AI textures are really basic
>>
>>109750548
tradies will have a let up for a little while. But first of all, most of them are already making minimum wage, they're mostly cheap immigrant labour. The ones that require years and certifications, they will be flooded by the powers that be fasttracking people as everybody starts looking for jobs, and the value of them will crater. They've already done it before in specific trades when those tradies get a little too uppity demanding a halfway decent life.
>>
>>109750548
>heh this job where you can die or lose a limb is still available
ebin, that's just what I wanted after I've spent 15+ years of my life studying
>>
>>109749707
If your job can be replaced by AI, it wasn't a real job to begin with.
>>
>>109750545
>Prompt engineering is a fake field btw.
People keep saying this but 90% of people using AI can't even figure out ComfyUI. So apparently it is a skill
>>
>>109750567
Maybe you should have done a better job lobbying for workers rights for those 15 years, but you didn't because you were on the other side of the fence so it wasn't important.
>>
>>109750574
How is programming or engineering not a real job? Hell even some medical professions can be automated now
>inb4 heh they'll never be replaced
they'll need the fall guy who'll get the blame once AI messes up, that's about it
>>
>>109750583
>heh maybe YOU should've been lobbying for MY industry
Did YOU lobby for MY industry? That makes no sense
>>
>>109750579
Most people panic when they see a terminal but that's not the point.
Ask claude to make better comfyui with an interface like on claude web. There we go, an entire field wiped off the earth.
>>
>>109750276
There only things that take any time at all in this picture are the textures and I'd bet that you didn't make a single one of those, you just slapped whatever you found on the Internet onto a box and said "I made this"
>>
>>109750618
>Ask claude to make better comfyui with an interface like on claude web
Once it can do that and maintain all the features of comfyui, programming is the entire field that's getting wiped as well
>>
>>109750500
The game was marginally higher fidelity than the one fable did, but worse in basically every other way. It didn't actually allow you to complete it, it randomly did keyboard rather than mouse look, certain functionality didn't work (likely because it expected you to be able to look at it properly to interact), overall creepy vibes were better in the fable one as well.
>>
>>109750637
There's only 1 texture, but yes I stole it. I could have made it in about 5 minutes though if I felt like it. It's less to say how good that picture is, and more to say that the blender 'artist' complaining sucks, and backrooms pics aren't that impressive.
>>
>>109750443
>from scratch
The source code for that game is literally on github freely available, the clanker just made it work in a browser (most likely full of bugs somehow)
>>
>>109750137
You will 100% be replaced, moron.
"ai is useful" niggers are useful idiots.
>>
>>109750548
I was pretty doubtful on robots replacing building site workers a few years back but it feels like it could be practical within 5 years pretty easily now. Robot vision and awareness are good and models are only getting better at general understanding, there's no way to argue against workers that work without breaks and don't need rights/payment/legal cover if they die

companies will keep hiring because without people in jobs earning money there will be no one to buy product
>>
>>109750698
tragedy of the commons. Companies will know it's good for companies to do that, but not good for THEIR company.
>>
>>109750698
If AI truly works as advertised (and that's a big if), our current order will collapse. There won't be companies anymore. And they will just cull 99% of people.
They don't need customers if bots can do everything for them.

> CEO can just say, "GTP-9, make me such and such," and it just shits it out
This already exists, there are already one-man startups that exited, but you still need good engineers with a high level overview to know how exactly to use GenAI to build systems. A random CEO can’t even describe what he really wants properly in a prompt

People say this like cost of food has not been the single strongest predictor of civil unrest throughout all of recorded history.
>b-but why haven’t people already overthrown the elites
Because the bread and circuses are still around. That’s the point of the bread and circuses. Remember, people don’t have to get violent ABOUT joblessness or food prices. They’ll get violent about whatever they want. Without cheap food and entertainment, there’s nothing to pacify them, they feel like they have nothing to lose. The “revolt” will be about something ostensibly unrelated like the police killing a fentanyl addict, but the looting and fires will still be happening because of insufficient bread and circuses.

If (and I’m not saying it will) it starts happening this year, it will probably snowball from flock cameras or data centers. But it won’t be because of those things, it will be because the bread and circuses are being insufficiently supplied, so any excuse for angry violent outbursts is a good one.

I hope that faggot Kane saw this and lost his broccoli mind over it. He has a huge rageboner for AI art, all while being one of the most entitled "artist" cunts in modern history. Barely going into his 20's and already has a generational wealth.
