>How to submit a song for the album
You can upload audio here without a login:
catbox.moe/
dmpproductions.org/mediaboard/board.html?board=s
Other services can be used, as long as the download is publicly accessible.

Create a post in /dmp/ with a link to the song.
AI policy:
- "AI" includes all neural network-based models and not hard-coded automation/procedural generation.
- You are allowed to ask an AI about music-related questions, but asking it to give you musical ideas (eg. generating a chord progression) is prohibited.
- You may use AI generated samples, but it must be disclosed what parts come from AI.
- AI-based tools can be applied (eg. stem separation), but should also be declared.
- Every song submission, regardless of AI usage, should include some level of proof that the song was not AI-generated. This can be a DAW screenshot.
- The album organiser reserves the right to reject a submission if it is deemed that AI was used too heavily.
- If you are unsure about aspects of the AI policy, ask.

Optionally, you can attach cover art, lyrics, and an artist name to your submission. The artist name cannot be one you use on other platforms.
Songs that break YouTube's rules won't be uploaded there, but will still be added to the album.
By default, tracks will be normalised to -14 LUFS (integrated loudness) in the release. You may specify a lower loudness for your song. Light-touch mastering is sometimes applied to improve the coherence of the album.

Hey that's my screenshot. I've basically abandoned that cli tool. I might use it again if I ever get another guitar, because it can be used to make any arbitrary metronome sequence with trivial effort. I've since learned how to use cardinal to do everything I was attempting to use that program for in the screenshot. I could still use the cli tool to generate some samples, but I can't really use them as a clock with toCV without getting raped by transients. It's just much simpler to use a piano roll in a daw for arrangements, or step counters + triggers for generative synth. You have to use the cANARd sampler module to use a sample of square waves from pipesynth as a clock without crossfading the start and stop in a daw, anyway. Even doing that causes an issue where the first and last pulse in the sample confuses toCV and either two pulses become one, or it skips a pulse. By the time you have to edit the samples in a daw, you might as well use the piano roll and create the rhythm, there, but that's not to say the technique doesn't have some limited usefulness.

Say, for generative synth, if the rhythms you need or want are already set in stone, you could use the crossfaded samples to simplify any switching logic necessary to change clock speeds. It would avoid a lot of boilerplate needed for switching clock divisions.

Back in highschool I remember thinking the Daft Punk Tron Legacy soundtrack contained absolute genius level hand crafted glitches but realized for myself a year later they were literally using FL presets of Gross Beat when I was playing with the presets
