>Not sure what private trackers are all about?
A private tracker is an invite-only torrent website. Each member shares common goals: collecting, preserving and discussing media.

>It doesn't matter if you use the same username in different trackers, the staff still share your IP with each other.
>Staff is reading, being /marked/ is NOT a meme, and even if it is, it isn't.
>Don't ask for invites, it's private for a reason.
>If starting out you should interview for RED, rank to Torrent Master, wait on account age, and get invites from there. THAT'S IT THAT IS ALL YOU HAVE TO DO.

FUCK private trackers. Seriously we don't need them for ANYTHING.
>>
>>109775764

Effort was taking all encode slots in my days not just 1080p. Smh
>>
I recently got into private trackers via RED a few months ago to find rare movies and resources on creating high-quality remuxes, HANDJOBs, and/or transparent encodes. Well, I reached Elite and have a few physical media rips, so I practically have access to everything besides PTP and HDB, and since I'm neither Indian nor autistic, I'm not really motivated to spam WEB uploads, and the alternative of ripping hundreds of CDs is also unrealistic, so of my options: BLU, ANT, ATH (in a few more months), which should I join for rare full disks and wiki pages on creating high quality remuxes and encodes (this way I could also learn more and fill multiple upload slots at the same time) from 1080p Blu-rays and DVDs?

Ideally, I don't join too many since managing lots of accounts is stressful and annoying with all the two-factor, inactivity, and HnR rules. I permaseed anyway but still don't like having that hanging over my head.
>>
>>109777145
>BLU, ANT, ATH
Those are for indians thoughbeit

So no really relevant movie tracker? Do you at least have KG?
>>
damn I just have no motivation to upload anything anymore
>>
>>109777178
Ok, well, the whole internet is for Indians now since our benevolent white inventors and businessmen gave them access to it, and clearly bleeding-heart boomers and millennials think this is a net positive, and from a cursory glance, most staff on these high-tier trackers--who also tend to belong to the aforementioned demographic--have no problems recruiting them as long they meet the requirements--regardless of how. I personally don't care about sharing a tracker with them since I'm already used to sharing a country with them--regards to my politicians.
>>109777280
>Do you at least have KG?
No, as I mentioned, I only joined private trackers recently and don't have connections with which to get into something like KG and am not particularly interested in that tracker either. I mostly watch festival films and occasionally rarer things and have been able to find a decent amount of stuff on ANT so far, and thankfully had a few requests filled too, so things are mostly fine. I'm more looking for learning material on OCR'ing PGS subs, syncing and retiming subs, quality deinterlacing, encoding, remuxing, demuxing, VapourSynth/AviSynth, etc. Pretty much whatever to make archive-worthy versions of the films I watch--if they don't already exist. I've made basic remuxes of DVDs for the sake of watching but am striving for perfection. Of course, these things could be learned through trial and error, but if knowledge and experience of these things exist, why not follow in the footsteps?
>>
>>109777145
blu and ath are decent. And I got into BHD from an unofficial invite on another tracker. But you'll HAVE to join a bunch of random other trackers (like I have avistaz and cinemaz which both have a lot that neither blu nor ath have) to complement and get like half of the top cabal coverage.
>>
>>109777576
just get into the cabal then retard
>>
>>109777576
Yeah, it seems like BLU and ATH are my best options. I might get those, and maybe if I feel more motivated, I'll reach TM on RED before my account reaches 2 years. Have you scoured the wiki on those sites? Do they have any good guides or information?

the currification of the entire internet should be studied because what these people have done to every single public space online is insane. for me, it's the cybersecurity subs. they were until fairly recently inundated with curries asking how to get soc jobs but i've noticed now they've pivoted to asking how to get grc jobs because it's basically the same pay packet without the need for any pesky technical skills and they know they can make a career out of jugaad in the fake email job while still gaining izzat by having a cybersecurity job title which is all they care about. i'm so tired of them and there's nowhere to escape it.

It's on Audible anon. If it's not on MAM, you can just request it.
>>
>>109784431
It *is* inorganic. If you look at the post history of 1petabytefloppydisk, you can find that they will continually insert a MAM suggestion into a thread where it is not appropriate, while overstating the difficulty of RED, and ignoring the difficulty of the trackers past MAM. If they get challenged on this, then they'll often shift the goalpost, claiming that BLU and LST are perfectly fine trackers, the OP doesn't actually need to climb for whatever they were looking for, previously.
They've been doing this for a while, even after the invite forums on MAM have gotten worse and worse. It's been going on for long enough that others have started pushing it as well.

Some post ids showing this behavior, you can plug them into arctic shift photon:

With all due respect, your statements are wrong and your advice is terrible.
I can't tell if you are doing it out of malice (trolling him) or out of plain ignorance. I will asume ignorance and politely try to educate you.

Here we have someone who mentioned two times that they are new to private trackers and you keep recommending RED, which is one of the hardest trackers to even use with their economy, and especially to progress on and reach invite forums.

On MAM, you need to simply exist for 6 months and you get get some okay entry level trackers and after 9 months some even better ones LST and BLU from where you can go to even better ones if you wish to invest effort.

On RED, to reach invite forums to other trackers, you need to upload FIVE HUNDRED brand new torrents that someone did not upload already, following their strict rules. You need to spend money buying equipment, spend money buying CDs, spend time ripping them, spend time going to libraries and shops hunting CDs etc etc. It is basically a second job for people with no life.

Recomming THIS to someone who said TWO times that they are a newbie is nonsensical and downright malicious. Even if they pass the RED exam, they will quickly find themselves banned for making newbie mistakes.

MAM is by far the better choice if you want to start advancing in private tracker world, and yes, after a year or so after you know how private trackers work (like he DOES NOT), then you should consider joining RED.

TLDR stop recommending RED to newbies.

Not doing it out of malice, just being practical. I'll respond to everything point by point, though, and hopefully you can see where I'm coming from.

>Here we have someone who mentioned two times that they are new to private trackers and you keep recommending RED, which is one of the hardest trackers to even use with their economy, and especially to progress on and reach invite forums.

I feel like you're drastically overstating the difficulty of RED here. Even if you are new, it's not impossible to survive on, and there are plenty of resources that somebody can reference. As their first tracker? Maybe RED isn't the best choice. But they said they have experience, and it's not like being on trackers for a few months or years is going to help you much more than a few weeks, with regard to RED. If you want to make things super easy for yourself, it is trivial to rent a nvme seedbox and start racing, and then you wont have to worry about ratio troubles on there ever.

>On MAM, you need to simply exist for 6 months and you get get some okay entry level trackers and after 9 months some even better ones LST and BLU from where you can go to even better ones if you wish to invest effort.

Emphasis on the "okay" and "entry level" part. LST and BLU are decent (subjective, though I think BLU is strong for full discs & other stuff), but if you're looking for something "good" (which the person explicitly mentioned), then you will not really find what you are looking for.

Also, I would like to bring up the second part of that, because I feel like people often gloss over it when advising people to go through this path.

"where you can go to even better ones if you wish to invest effort"
>>
>>109790629
read >>109759870
>>
>>109790667
Let's say somebody wants to join Aither. They can either start on MAM, afk on there until they join LST, and then from LST they can join Aither. Sounds easy enough. But when you look at the requirements of that second part, I believe it starts to fall apart.

You need to either have 15 uploads and 50TB uploaded, or have a 20TB seeding size, (not to mention the year wait time) which I believe is a crazy amount of effort to go through, compared to the alternative, which is just 5 uploads on RED. Realistically, you could probably meet the requirements on LST somewhat easily by using a seedbox and some upload scripts, but if you do the exact same thing on RED, you will get rewarded much better in terms of trackers to join, for the same or less effort.

This is a gross overstatement, and the fact that I've seen you peddle this figure around multiple times (1) (2) (3) (4), makes me believe that you are either severely misinformed, or acting in bad faith, though I am more inclined to believe the latter, as myself and many others have corrected you on this many times, and yet you still share this misinformation around.
>>
>>109790733
To correct you again though, you do not need to upload 500 torrents, unless the tracker you are trying to join requires torrent master, something that only requires power user only requires 5 uploads, and elite 50 (on top of the GB requirement, which as mentioned before, easy to attain with a cheap seedbox). Also, you do not need to "spend money buying equipment, spend money buying CDs, spend time ripping them, spend time going to libraries and shops hunting CDs etc etc". If you want to upload perfect FLACs, sure you can do that. But that is only one way of uploading, and not an absolute requirement. In reality, you can do something as simple as uploading transcodes of things you have already downloaded, which is trivial to do, taking literal seconds or minutes with some scripts. Or you can download other types of content that is allowed, such as ebooks and comics.

>Recomming THIS to someone who said TWO times that they are a newbie is nonsensical and downright malicious. Even if they pass the RED exam, they will quickly find themselves banned for making newbie mistakes.

I would like for you to elaborate on the "newbie mistakes" that would get them outright banned from the tracker. The only thing I can imagine would be a violation of their golden rules, such as cheating or invite misuse, but I'd like to imagine that given they have been on other trackers before, this will not happen.

I don't appreciate the accusation of being malicious, and I would recommend that you start looking inwards. Telling a newbie to spend an extra few years to join the top trackers does not seem like good advice to me.

>MAM is by far the better choice if you want to start advancing in private tracker world, and yes, after a year or so after you know how private trackers work (like he DOES NOT), then you should consider joining RED.

This statement can be considered wrong in multiple ways, depending on how you look at it.
>>
>>109790694
Usually it's only like 1 or 2 guys that cross seed new releases from OPS. Unless it's something popular OPS uploads barely get snatched. I provide everything I upload to OPS too because it's simply a bro move for anyone that wants to do that. I'm not exactly a neon but I use OPS for the arbitrage.

If you want to "advance" in the tracker world, then you will not "advance" very far from MAM, as the trackers that recruit on it are somewhat limited, and if you would like to join better ones from them, it will take multiple years, as well as more effort, when compared to RED.

Also, why do you need to wait a year before joining RED? What knowledge would you have gained from an extra year of waiting, that would help you do better, and justify the additional year of waiting? I would be more inclined to agree if you said something like a few weeks to a month, but anything past that is just wasteful.

Just upload something, guaranteed 18 auto snatches from cucks. You will also get more if you mark them as a user release, some of the bots grab that and rename them to NTb when they release to their lower tracker. This will get you a few more than the 18.
Uploads count as snatches.

Quick start guide for private trackers

Assuming that you're interested in getting on a good TV/movie tracker:

• Join the books tracker MyAnonamouse (MAM) through IRC interviews. (Google it or check the wiki to get the link; this subreddit does not allow links in posts.)

• Get 1 TiB of upload by seeding hundreds of freeleech and VIP torrents. VIP does not cost real money, it only costs bonus points which you get from seeding. (Google "MAM points guide".)

• Wait 6 months to get access to the general tracker (with a TV/movie focus) Seedpool (SP), which you can join from the Other Torrent Sites forum on MAM. If you can't see this forum, it's because you don't have access yet.

• Wait 9 months to get access to the TV/movie trackers Blutopia (BLU) and LST. (Google "tracker pathways".)

• Optional: Accelerate your entry into BLU by uploading 5 torrents to MAM. If you do that, you can get in with an account age of 6 months (rather than 9) if you have 1 TiB of upload.

• Optional: Spend some real money to get onto the general tracker TorrentLeech immediately by signing up through their seedbox promo. Cancel the seedbox so it doesn't renew after the first month. But don't try to refund the seedbox or you'll get banned. (Google "seedbox promo TorrentLeech".)

The other advice you'll see on this subreddit is to join the music tracker Redacted (RED) and gain access to the invite forum there. This is certainly a viable option for those who want to pursue it and understand the effort it requires. But be duly warned:

It may take you 3 months or more of waiting in queues on IRC to get an attempt at the RED interview.

Unless you cheat (which may result in a ban), I would rate the amount of memorization required for the interview to be comparable to a university midterm exam. The information is not useful or interesting outside the context of uploading to RED.

According to figures I recall seeing from RED, the interview lasts about 90 minutes on average and about 50% of people fail the interview.

Depending what rank you’re trying to achieve on RED, it may take you dozens of hours of work uploading enough torrents to achieve it.

This is not to say unequivocally you should not go the RED path. It's just to say that if you do, you should do it with open eyes about what you're getting yourself into. If that all sounds like a challenge you'd be up for, then go for it.

Key words: how to get started, beginner's guide, where do I start, how do I join trackers, where to begin.

If you love collecting music files, join RED.

For listening to music, a music streaming service is the experience most people will prefer.

If you have YouTube Premium, you get YouTube Music bundled in with that.

If you think you can hear lossless streams (which you probably can't), Apple Music, Spotify, and Tidal all offer lossless.

There are also other random services like Deezer and Qobuz that offer lossless streaming.

Either way it doesn't really matter, if someone wants to join the best even if you start from mam you can probably jump around on 5 different curry trackers like a retard and find your way in, that person would probably regret listening to this retard but so is life, you either are a /ptg/ chad or a dumb redditor listening to idiots with no expertise in the matter.

I explained the reasons people bemoan the RED process in the OP. I'll repeat myself:

3 months+ wait time, which often involves re-queuing frequently

Exam requires a comparable amount of studying to a university midterm exam

Exam covers a lot of useless, boring information that has no meaning or relevancy outside of uploading to RED, not just "audio basics"

Exam takes ~90 minutes on average

Failure rate is ~50%

That's just to get into RED; to unlock the invite forum, you have to upload 5 torrents, which is its own painful process, and to access higher-tier trackers you have to upload significantly more torrents, e.g. 500 to get into PassThePopcorn (PTP) after 2 years of waiting

Lots of people get banned because they have the prep material open in a web browser while doing the exam. Sometimes they are doing this honestly and not trying to cheat, they just forgot they had it open or didn't realize it would matter.

A minor flaw I experienced when I took is the exam is the examiner seemed to be working off of an older or different version of the exam than matched the latest version of the prep materials. The examiner asked a very specific question that was not addressed in the prep materials. I confirmed this after the exam.

I still passed the exam but was dinged for that question. I forget the details, but it was as if the question were, "What's the default bitrate for Spotify streams?" and then in the prep materials there is no mention of Spotify anywhere. It obviously was just a mistake on the examiner's part.

It just goes to show how complex and fraught this gatekeeping process is. It's so complex not even the examiners themselves can 100% reliably keep track of the correct questions to ask.

What's the easiest way to share a pirated video file with normie friends/family? They'll probably watch on their phones.
>>
Howdy guys,

My friend used to buy a Redacted invite from invitehawk and had Redacted account for several years. His account was banned then. He may not know the reason, but we all can guess why. Is it possible for him to regain access to that account by making a donation to Red?

PS: He used to a newbie to trackers, so he bought lots of accounts at invitehawk. Now he is aware of his stupidity, and he only wants his account through donation.

So, any ideas or experience is welcome.

Depends on the kind of content. Why not just email or text them the file? Most phones are pretty normie proof now so it should just play the video. Here's some more interesting options though:

All major ISPs have literally handed over your information to copyright trolls if you've torrented in the past. The only exception being Bahnhof but they sold out.

shit i now find out about this after have been a customer for multiple years

Yeah, Telenor bought Bahnhof. Obenet is supposedly the new "bahnhof" and claim to care about your privacy n shit. I haven't done a lot of research into them tho so take it with a grain of salt

Just raw dog private trackers without a VPN.

Do you believe modern university is hard?
All the foids must be capable of passing it, it's easy.
What's stopping you from getting a degree is the huge amount of money you have to pay to enroll in it.
The retards who go into debt to study must also be capable of passing exams, otherwise you can't squeeze them out of money for all the years for the degree.

why would they do that instead of handling copyright like the US isp's where they just forward the copyright notice to the account holder...

I wouldn't even bother with the RED interview, it's literally impossible and you'll never pass it better to just get on MAM and wait 10 years for PTP.
