I just found this laptop at thrift for $9.99, it looked liked it had a broken screen, I goggled the model (zenbook 14) and found the ram is soldered but it should has an ssd, bought to salvage it.BUTT, it actually worked! and it has 16g ram (specs picrel), and after checking the the screen it turns out it's just the hinge detached with one lost screw that was already inside when I opened the cover lmaoIt was for a girl named raya
>>109765542So I put cachyos usb and it booted it, I like the screen colors ngl
>>109765556this is the ssd btw, 512g
>>109765564and I also found this case that fits the laptop well, new too, and sleek ethernet cable inside for $1.99, not sure if they were together and the scummy thrift sold them separately but oh well
>>109765581Cleaned it and now ready.Thing is, idk what am I supposed to do with it, any ideas? I already have 7 laptops (and 3 pcs), some of these laptops I found in thrift too and turned them to servers but this one maybe more useful than that, any ideas?
Shiet. Epic get, Tyrone!UEFI settings are so niggerlicious.
>>109765595Should've run recovery software on the drive to see what you could find desu.
>>109765600gotta test the fans because just opening the installed windows it sounds like it will fly, maybe a firehouse laptop>>109765625the drive is bitlocker encrypted and it's probably better not bother, few times I found hdd in thrift and mostly were for dead people kinda creeped me out (I looked up their names, some had driver license etc)
>>109765595Its cpu is better than my thinkpad t480 that I carry around, probably will replace it with this one
