Japan has lost all of it's high tech industries. 30 years ago, it was completing head2head with America in every single technological field, today it's probably the least advanced G7 nation and is still falling behind. People shit on the A.I bubble or China's overcapacity in high end manufacturing, but at the end of the day, at least they have the tech, even if they had to spend an insane amount of money and debt to achieve it. The dotcom bubble didn't end the internet after all and America continued to dominate the internet age afterwards.

Meanwhile, Japan both has a massive debt crisis and is still falling behind badly. This will continue to get worse too, China and SK are still eating up the remains of whatever high tech sectors that Japan has left, Chinese EVs are rapidly displacing Japanese cars globally, which is the one area where Japan is still dominant in. And Japan is nothing without technology, they have no oil/gas/mineral resources or farmland and their general geography is horrible. Their advanced technology is the sole reason why they have been so successful over the last century. At least other countries in decline like Russia has their vast natural resources to fall back on.

And Japan has zero plans to reverse this technological decline, their government is totally clueless. At this rate, Japan will join Russia as one of the few advanced economies that actually has a board and sustained technological decline. In another decade Japan have nothing but tourism and cultural exports left, a 3rd world nation in all but name. India and other 3rd world nations might actually surpass them technologically.

China went from a nation of farming peasants to the most advanced country on the planet in a few decades. That's quite the "nothing" to pull off. It's currently building the largest hydroelectric power facility in the world in Tibet and cucking both India and Bangladesh in the process by taking control of the river which supplies much of their water. China is constantly putting pressure on other countries, safe in the knowledge that it's completely untouchable by anyone (including the US). You just don't hear about it if Drumpf or some other Jewish-owned Western politician isn't crying about it.

Japan had a controlled economy that worked quite well for their people. US didn't like it wasn't a central bank-controlled economy following US-style financial theory, so they orchestrated an artificial bubble to force Japan to yield monetary policy powers entirely to the central bank, which allowed US control of their economy. They also pulled a similar coup across SEA countries. Thus, all the value and wealth of Japan at the time was artificial, potemkin village style. It was so bad that companies stopped producing what they were supposed to because it was more profitable to play the stock market than to actually sell products.

You're dumb. Korea has been regrowing their birth rates for 4 years in a row now and is higher than china, taiwan, thailand, etc. while Japan finally increased last month (mainly due to record numbers of immigrants giving birth in Japan but still). They are doing things.
>>
>>109769544

>>
Looks like they're actually leveling out and calibrating for healthy maintenance. People are so fucking clueless about what a "good society" or country looks like. Eternal growth isn't possible. Eternal growth based systems are ultimately doomed. This is why other countries become obsessed with mass migration of foreigners, it's a last gasp attempt at clinging to the "growth at any cost" mantra.

The Japanese are a singular people that believe in themselves and their future. They have a dynastic perspective on business and economics, their corporations last for centuries and are built more around stability and trust than chasing the next quarter's earnings. They make a mockery of the entire concept of GDP worship. Go there and see for yourself, the entire country is clean, orderly, safe, and prosperous.

Growth comes and growth goes, what you need to do is ensure stability and maintenance and they have done that. In this era of mass technology you actually need less people, not more.
>>
>>109769595

This dude. We were already a very automated, tech powered generation, and now AI has exacerbated that. We need far less people to do more now.

Who cares about a population correction? All it means is less ass wipers for the aging boomer retards in nursing homes, who cares about that? They quite literally made this bed. If you buy into perpetual growth nonsense you give the mass migration psychos a platform, don't do that. We'll be fine.

Westoids make birth rates a hot topic when faced with a rising East Asia, while ignoring that the west is well below replacement levels as well. Its just cope.

Plus, Korea has the highest density of robotics and automation of all countries by a wide margin because this is their game plan for future technologies displacing jobs amidst a declining population.

Larry Fink, King Jew from Blackrock, even had his perspective changed on declining population after visiting Korea and meeting with their tech and gov leadership:

>Last I heard Japanese car companies had a lot of internal fighting over electric, they didn't want to abandon decades of advancement and refinement for something new.
Because they're not retarded. All of the big auto companies are reverting back to internal combustion engine because electric cars only work in specific regions and countries where everything is tightly clustered. Electric is not viable in 75% of America because its miles of nothing to the horizon and beyond. Japanese car companies became huge because they focus on the American market, not the Japanese market because most Japanese use the trains. Japan itself is actually perfect for electric cars.

Right?

Lets check their track record:

>AI?
Stolen from US companies and further uses distillation attacks to hone their AI off frontier US models.
>DDR5?
Stolen from Samsung.
>LPDDR5?
Literally uses Samsung chips but chinese polished off the Samsung logo to print huawei on it.
>HBM?
Licensed from SK Hynix but still struggling with yields on old generation HBM3.
>Folding Screens?
Stolen from Samsung.
>OLED?
Stolen from Samsung.
>LCD Tech?
Purchased factory and IP from Samsung.
>Leading edge nodes?
Depends on Samsung for foundry services.
>EV Battery packaging and safety tech?
Stolen from LG Energy Solutions.

China isn't the leader in anything other than theft of IP.

Korea is the actual tech powerhouse china pretends to be.

>Korea has been regrowing their birth rates for 4 years in a row
That's plausibly just a COVID backlog, people put off marriage and kids (birth outside wedlock is rare in Korea - <5% vs. 40% in the US) during the pandemic are having them now. The raw number of births is set to decline as the generations are replaced by smaller ones.

That logic would apply to ALL developed countries who are all also below replacement levels.

But that makes zero sense as factors change. We've seen drops in rate through out history and times of increase. Its not linear nor static.

What happened to Japan for things to get this bad?
>>
>>109776074
>That logic would apply to ALL developed countries who are all also below replacement levels.
It does. Korea isn't the only country to report higher birth rates for at least some part of its population (Americans on /pol/ have been bragging about white conservative birth rates recently). Every developed country (to my knowledge) has the same problem and similar population pyramids where larger generations are reaching fertility (the 1991-1996 "second echo boom" cohort is the largest since the 70s), making it look like the TFR and birth rate are growing. Those generations will be replaced by smaller ones in the near future, so the trend will likely revert.

>But that makes zero sense as factors change.
What makes zero sense?

>We've seen drops in rate through out history and times of increase. Its not linear nor static.
I was just pointing out that the apparent reversal can be explained by factors other than the trend actually reversing. Btw recovery of TFR from below 1.5 back to replacement is unprecedented in recorded history. It has never ever happened.

White births in the US is well below replacement. Even if us conservatives have more babies than liberals, we're not making enough to replace our ageing population.

>1.5 TFR
Western Europe and White American s are going to be extinct I guess. Also when wars dropped TFR to near zero those countries went extinct too I guess.
>>
>>109776425
>Even if us conservatives have more babies than liberals, we're not making enough to replace our ageing population.
>Western Europe and White American s are going to be extinct I guess.
Certain subgroups within certain populations have above replacement fertility (mainly ultraconservative religious groups like the Amish) and it's theorised that they will simply replace everybody else. So you could argue the current problem is mostly liberalism/progressivism eating itself.

>Also when wars dropped TFR to near zero those countries went extinct too I guess.
No population has gone extinct from low birth rates alone. Sparta did go extinct (at least the citizen/warrior caste) due to combined TFR and war though.
