I used to own an SGI Onyx that sounded like a jet engine and heated my whole apartment.

If the landlord's paying the electric why not?

Probably $2000+ but the shipping's a beast on those. I have one as well as an Indy R5000.

OP has never even used a Silicon Graphics workstation in his life. Which youtuber made a video about these now?

I dont actually - really should have got one back when i was buying such things. do have two blades tho

It's pretty futile now, scalpers bought them all 10+ years ago and the prices are obscene. Before this you could get nice basic Octanes from eBay for $200-300 even.
I was lucky, I inherited my company's old units, couple of O2s, Octane with original Silicon Graphics logo, Indigo 2. Don't have them any longer which sucks.
I used Octane for day to day stuff for few years too.

I would get one if they weren't $20000

I have two. And the huge 22" SGI-badged Sony monitor that SGI sold with the Octane2. Sadly the base broke at some point along the way, but I was able to find a compatible base for it.

Yeah, pics with timestamp or shut the fuck up.

I don't feed the AI with such things. That'd be silly.

You seem awfully worked up about this. Everything going OK at home?

Yes. Graphics board is kinda dead tho, when IRIX starts the display freezes. System still works, I can login remotely.

I own 3. I bought my first one in 1998. Wonderful systems, irritating package management, very outdated but still do what they were made to do very well.
