This was recommended to me as a lightweight browser, but (at least on Linux) it's barely functional. I have literally never had a slower internet experience, even back in the days when a 2600 baud modem was smokin' hot.Is it good for *anything*? Why does this exist?

Pale Moon was basically Librewolf during the Gecko-engine Firefox days. Gecko is nearly 10 years out of date, I don't think it's wise to a browser based on it anymore.>>109774560buy an ad

Does the developer still block extensions he doesn't want you to be able to use?
It can be pretty functional but it's not like other browsers, so don't treat it the same. I love Pale Moon and use it almost exclusively.

That's why it uses so much ram. I mean a lot of it is bloat, but there is a reason for its insane ram usage. A browser that doesn't do that (or doesn't do that to the extent Chrome does) is always going to feel like shit compared to Chromium browsers.
