Why can't it compete?
>>
>>109782653
I mean, it does. It's free (gratis) and it's what I use.
>>
>>109782653
made by autistic retards that dont want to just copy the thing that works
>>
>>109782653
With what? Are there better alternatives?

it just works but it doesn't compete, table stakes for competing is to pay $200k/year to at least 850+ sadistic pederasts who will run around and scam businesses and individuals and trick them into buying it

What do you mean? It's worth every penny.

OnlyOffice, sir.
>>
the only thing that I really notice is that my pc that runs on fedora is wayyy faster than the one who runs on windows 11

the fedora one is has a lot 64 ram and the windows one 16 ram though, so I'm not sure if it's caused by the hardware or the OS
>>
>>109782653
It can, the issue is that Microsoft office's format are literally broken complete messes with no standard. The only standard is "whatever glitchy bullshit Microsoft's program does" and you have to replicate all of that perfectly.
>>
>>109783398
it is better but why does the interface have a weird kind of lag to it?

I did my final exam with 2 of those, it was super easy so I had more time for other shit.
Libre Office and the Microsoft shit only get in your way so you're wasting more time figuring/configuring shit out

what exactly has AI to do with this?
did the "journalist" only put it in the headline for clickies?

do any of these support my VBA macros? if no then it's DOA
>>
>>109783464
Because It's an electron app, but it's ok.
>>
I use LibreOffice but then again I don't down on it too much since I know its free but my god don't use it on cutting edge hardware or on macOS sometimes there are so many weird artifacts and some stupid Linux Distros fuck with the theming.

Just needs to be more rock solid and more widely adopted I still prefer older versions of Office.
>>
>>109783496
afaik, the llms uses its cli to convert doc files to pdf.
>>
>>109783398
Why does the spreadsheet app have integrated window buttons but the document editor has a separate titlebar?
>>
>>109783500
afaik you can't use VBA macros in Numbers
>>
>>109783523
Becase you can use tabs or just drag the tab to use a separate window.
>>
Lack of features and Excel compatibility. Also horrible UI.

lmao no wonder. I didn't even know...
>>
>>109782653
I dumped it for Proton Sheets because that's all I need. All I do is make barebones spreadsheets to track what I watch, listen to, read, etc.
>>
>>109783663
It's a feature, it means you can use the office suite in your browser.
>>
>>109782653
it pretty much can. the last ms office I used was 97. it was openoffice/libreoffice since then.
