Why do people hate bezels so much? They can sometimes look ugly (usually the further back in time you go) but in the modern era they hardly matter when they're just a few millimeters difference between devices.

Bezels = poor
Apple and google exaggerate them on the peasant phones
Gives women the ick... huge izzat loss

it only matters to the mentally ill who use their phone for more than 30 minutes a day

I personally consider bezels a pretty important visual component, otherwise the screen itself would look weird.

The only exception I can make is for the rare case of a multiple monitor setup that combines the screens to seem to be one, though nowadays that isn't needed due to the sheer volume of massive monitors on the market. The only reason to buy multiple monitors is if you prefer having different tasks on different monitors instead of having a massive 54" screen with all of them on a single screen, which I do; having everything on a single screen induces dyslexia in me and I cannot do anything at a satisfying level in a limited amount of time; maybe 'tism, idk.
