do you think the digitalized fly actually feels? i kinda feel sorry for it
>>
Feels what?

>do you think the digitalized fly actually feels?
no. biological neurons are antennas. digital simulations never account for this
>>
We've already had bigger neural networks for ages, this works exactly the same way as other neural networks but it's just modeled after a scan of a fly's brain, so if you think there's anything special going on here you're a retard or possibly a midwit

you ever wonder where your thoughts come from? you've never experienced yourself "generating" a thought

Why do people care if something has feelings or not? Feelings are not that important, intelligence is.

I experience myself generating a thought all the time, it's called thinking

Excuse me op, but what you're referring to as "feels" is actually recurrent world modeling and aversion/attraction drives, or as I've recently taken to calling it recurrent world modeling plus aversion/attraction drives. The former can be measured through world model consistency tests and the latter through sampling neural excitation around drive-bearing seams.
Simple, isn't it?
