Do you think AI voices are good enough to make tutorials? For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57YVaPETge8
The voice in the video is really good. What's it called? I don't like those shitty videos that pick Edge voices to narrate. I'm gonna install SpeechNote on my computer and pick the n_US-l2arctic-medium model so I can have some Indian guy reading Bukowski's books to me.
>>109785428Why though?Programming is dead. And not because of AI - at least not directly. The only thing AI did is make people realize there's nothing worthwhile to program left anymore.
>>109785428Do you hate the sound of your own voice? Why do you need an AI voice for this?
Sure? They're also good for gooning to. That's what I primarily use them for.
>>109785428i mean most pre-ai tutorials had some esl speaking broken english or some autistic teenager so cant be much worse

>>109785428I played around with VibeVoice a year ago and it absolutely passes, so long as your sample is clean and hits each phoneme. What it wasn't good at was changes in tone. It can do monotone well, but if someone's very emphatic, it's difficult to keep it realistic. Could be solved with more samples and some cutting, but that's adding real labor to it.But... that's VibeVoice, local, a year ago. I haven't even touched ElevenLabs yet.
>>109786000My voice straight up sounds like Eliot Page but I'm not even a tranny..
