This is a fake shill thread that the jeet OP could not even remember to put the subject line. DoReal /pcbg/ thread is here>>109784174>>109784174>>109784174
Build is 2.5 years old. 7800x3D, 48GB DDR5 (6400), LG C4 55" OLED, Crucial T500 2TB Gen4 NVMe M.2, plus numerous hard drives (largest being a HGST Ultrastar DC HC520 12TB).RTX 5070 TI is my newest part, now a year old. What should I upgrade? I wanted a 5080 super (for PCVR with the Quest 3), but that is cancelled.
>>109785527I'd just sit on it to be honest with you buddy.I guess RAM is the "Weakest" part, but it's not like 48GB isn't enough, and it's an awful time to not just settle for 48GB being good enough. If you wanna, you could gamble on an AliExpress 9800X3D.
>>109785556>AliExpress 9800X3DWhy not the 9850x3D? Honestly I was hoping for AMD to release a new generation, because the gains on those two chips over the 7800x3D didn't seem worth it. Especially when VRAM is holding me back the most in PCVR.
>>109785598Because there's a shit load of 9800X3Ds from leftover pre-builts and system integrators, so they're super cheap. I got one for like £270 last year. The 9850X3D, you may as well just buy a new one, but they're like £500, and it's not really worth it.AMD has been sitting on their ass doing nothing but minor adjustments the entire time AM5 has been out, so, yeah don't expect anything big from them any time soon. Intel is catching up, but they're not there yet. Maybe whatever their next big release is will be worth changing over for. But, not yet.
>>109785620Yeah it seems like the 9800X3D are going for around $400 on aliexpress and the 9850x3D is $484 new on newegg.
Almost finished with my first custom loop because my AIO failed, thanks EK! Ran out of tubing because my paranoid ass put the Chinese pump and resivor on the outside velcro'd to the back after I saw an amazon review with pictures of it leaking. What do y'all think so far? I'm pretty happy with it for 300 or so all in.
op-kun forgor to include the subject...
>>109785429couldn't find this thread because the 14900K wasn't in the OP
Are Aios worth it? I have Ryzen 5 7600 with fairly cheap air cooler, temps are ok but fans can be quieter during normal use and gaming. Should I even bother it cpuz temps are ok even under heavy use just too bump down fans sound. Is it safe to use long term in terms of potential leaks? It would be mounted on top, graphic card lay flat on bottom, mAtx case
it's done for now. i think im done spending money. now we wait out the end times.couple notes:dont let anybody tell you noctua's pump is quiet. it is not.it is amazing how quiet these fans are THO. now the loudest fans are the locked-at-minimum-30% gpu fans.the aio along with kryosheet has my cpu temperatures (if anybody cares enough to remember how much trouble i was having) much better now. at least it doesnt ride tjmax anymore.
