Is being a functional language really that damning?
It's really hard for a new language to bootstrap itself into relevance in current year. Basically the only ones that have done it recently have either had massive corporate backing (go/typescript) or an extensive persistent guerrilla marketing campaign (rust).Few people want to invest time mastering a niche literally-who language.Plus I bet the lsp support and package ecosystem for Crystal sucks. Nim has been around for a decade and when I tried to vibecode a relatively small project in it, the lsp via the official vscode plugin kept krashing.
