i like USB-C but i really hate that a lot of newer cables have USB-C on both sides. it's just not as sturdy as a USB-A plugged into that wall or your PC.

It's a USB line. I'll show you later.

This is an early example of Jeets ruining technology. USB is one of the worst standards ever devised. Its over engineered, slow and bloated. Worse latency than what it was intended to replace. And one of the worst designed connectors ever.

Also, to set the record straight, its lack of reversibility is not the problem. The problem is it has zero self centering. You need to get the angle absolutely perfect or it won't go in, it gives no feedback to guide you in. Unless you have it perfect it just slides around on the IO shield.

You're clearly not old enough to have experienced connectors before USB. And judging by your "zero self centering" comment, you don't spend a lot of time plugging and unplugging USB-A, because it's easy AF - and it doesn't need to be an "absolutely perfect" angle at all. You just hate USB because you want to, not because you had a valid reason.

Literal skill issue. If you're not spatially retarded you can easily tell by the weight which way it's supposed to go without looking

>>109788997
Just works and should be used for literally everything

my main complaint with the USB family is that there are at least three generations now that look identical but have vastly different read/write speeds and if you pull a random USB cable out of your garage part bin, you have no way of telling what generation of USB it is. they could have, at the very least, added a color-coded ringlet to one of the ends or something, like a resistor.

i'm old enough to remember the red, yellow, white pins on the gamecube. a child couldn't fuck that up, but a child could fuck up a USB-A if they were particularly retarded
