I'm just shitting C on MCUs right now, and python on desktop for everything script tier good enough. Books don't work on me, I just use the language and learn that way or use it at work and learn from seeing what other people do. I read the Rust book and Rust by Example, they're only good for learning the unique stuff, syntax, and common gotchas. You won't learn how to structure your project or which libraries are worthwhile.

It isn't that widespread in embedded, but if it works and there is some HAL for it, then it can be very comfy.ESP32 + Embassy + esp-hal was a really good experience for me. I can't imagine cniles still use openrtos bloat when Rust exist.
