My 3090 is a Zotac Trinity. Hopefully it won't burst into flames randomly, so far it's been holding up well. I changed the thermal pads, applied PTM7950 on the core and deshrouded it. Worst it gets is ~70C under a sustained max load, idles at ~30C.

Also undervolting on stock clocks gives you marginally better performance just because your clock is no longer maniacally whiplashing between the highest clock it could boost in a given microsecond then instantly underclocking to maintain stability. UV makes it so that you stay on a single clock consistently.

My RTX 3080 12GB LHR has shown signs of artifacting (black boxes or green ones). I undervolted it with MSI Afterburner and no artifacts since then. As a back up, I bought a B580 since I have heard the drivers kinks are mainly ironed out. I mainly game at 1440p and rarely play any new triple AAA (no fake frame upscaling either). Did I waste my money? Why does no one recommend this card on these threads?

The fans on this case are so fucking loud, holy shit.I really didn't want to mess with fan curves, because I'm lazy. And out of the box these fans run at like 70% speed (~1300 RPM) and would ramp up if the CPU ever got hot.I set these fans to a static 40% speed (~750 RPM) and now my build is dramatically quitter. And I don't even see the temps of my CPU or GPU getting hotter by even 1C.I really don't want to drop $90 on three Noctua 120mm case fans, but I might. I am pretty new to PC building, do Noctua ever do good Black Friday deals?
I just buy mini-PC's and run CachyOS. They run all my games just fine and barely take up any space.

>>109817351It don't matter what brand you buy they are all the same TSMC PCIE cards. What matters is DRIVERS and currently Nvidia suck with drivers on Windows & Linux now. AMD is much better on Linux and has caught up on Windows. Intel is just catching up but transistor count wise they are same as a 4060/7600XT and thats where the performance tops out at no matter the drivers.
