The wildest shit is last week I saw on twitter people asking why tf they are getting ads for some some kid's 40 minute minecraft streams anyway his dad found out and it looks like he'll have to pay it back or he might even get firedOn the plus side, turns out if you spend $118,000 in ads, youtube delivers, youtube will push your ads. A lot of youtubers say buying ads is meaningless, that's clearly not the case. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SL8_lX4E6ME
>>109825044We should make a donation campaign to help them out. The surplus can be spent on more ads.
>>109825044What was the ROI?
>>109825044They are probably trying to create a viral moment. Show the receipts.
how many views per dollar spent?
>>109825044>A lot of youtubers say buying ads is meaningless, that's clearly not the case. The point is most people don't care if they see somebody's 42 minute ad. I remember once have a 2 hour ad and I just refreshed the page. I don't even remember what happened in the 'ad' which was just some documentary. Honestly, most people probably wouldn't even have tweeted about this if it wasn't some kid showing how high-trust society + low-iq populace isn't sustainable.
>>109825080Yeah. The "Message from Dad" thing is so fake. You're on the line for $118k or losing your job and you're making a dumb 15 minute YouTube video? No way.
>>109825044what?.. I thought they paid you for ads? is it reverse now?
>>109825320Read it again, slowly
>>109825320retard-kun...
>>109825199>advertising doesn't work, that's why companies spend most of their budget on it instead of making products that are actually good
>>109825320You remind me of that guy on /biz/ who didn't know you need people who buy your stocks in order to sell them
>>109825044fake and unbased
>>109825338I did>>109825339I don't know how ads work man. I had them blocked since like 2006.and before that when ads came up in tv I set a timer and changed a channel or turned it off and went to do something else. my brain is literally trained not to see ads. when I go outside billboards may as well be noise, and if something somehow somewhere cuts through, I make a mental note and avoid buying that product.>>109825388i don't know how that works either to be fair.it's not like stocks are real, just another Monopoly money later.
>>109825383For youtubers it doesn't. Advertising works when you offer something most people got no clue about because then you can exploit the liberties of market participants by making sure they're misinformed.
>>109825398You know those memes where the left side of the bell curve is depicted as a chad? That's you my fren. I meant that in the most endearing way possible.
>>109825044How hard would it be to make back 118k from getting famous like this? Profit off of it?
Youtube will just cancel the bill in exchange the kid is banned from Youtube.
>>109825070his sons 40 minutes of fleeting purpose and recognition. so priceless
I'm no expert but Visa/Mastercard will straight up block the transaction if it looks sketchy. 160k in youtube ads suddenly is a sus transaction especially from a company credit card that does smaller transactions.
>>109825044>be having 118kbucks>"lose it all on ads">open a donation campaign>retards will give you 3x that
>>109825456Yeah something isn't adding up here...
>>109825407Do you honestly believe he would have 10k subscribers on his shitty minecraft videos if he didn't buy all that advertising?
>>109825062Keep an eye on this kid, he's going to do Pewdiepie numbers in no time.
>>109825481No I believe he wouldn't have those 10k subs if he was a normal person and not some kid racking up credit card debt
>>109825456my thoughts too. this sounds fake n gay.
>>109825044>>109825441>>109825432>Here in my garage, just bought this uh new Lamborghini here. Fun to drive up here in the Hollywood Hills. But you know what I like a lot more than materialistic things?>Knowledge
>>109825417t-thanks
>>109825388>>109825398
>>109825595I mean, it's monopoly money in basically videogame form where you press buttons to get more. I don't blame him. none of this stuff feels real.
>>109825456Well it could be that it was thousands of small charges
>>109825627>none of this stuff feels real.In the end there's still a real component. That's why european gas prices currently are completely messed up.
>>109825673none of that feels real either.also why even need gas? you can easily ride a bike in eu.
>>109825707>also why even need gas? you can easily ride a bike in eu.Amerikun...
>>109825732I'm in Germany thoughI have two bikes I got for 50 each, they're great
>>109825627>>109825398there is truly no hope for goyim
>>109825774not playing jewish games makes you a goy now?
>>109825809you're a goy anyway
>>109825757Not everyone lives in berlin or hamburg
