Do you approve of the changes he has made to your life, your world, and your species so far?
>>
>>109826703
Yes. I'll never forget that thing with the guy and the crypto. In an alternate universe he praises me for my memes and I get a job at OpenAI right before the apocalypse.

why this jewish jew is so jewish?

>>109826703
No, fuck the Jews.
>>
Who is this? Never seen him in my life
>>
How much of these changes were attributable to him directly and not the scientists / other staff members employed by OpenAI?
>>
>>109826703
I support him becoming the first tech CEO to livestream his suicide.

It seems like a lot of people especially on the media and the internet kinda develop a cult of personality around these CEOs. That's the CEOs doing their job. But don't forget the scientists who make things like GPT-4, AlexNet, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, and Libratus, and so many other contributions possible.

I am a human being. Best believe that.

We really don't need humans for anything. That is the whole point of an economy.

Biggest problem is that they killed the Internet and burried immeasurable amounts of culture. It used to be fine and organic. They ruined living communities, burned books and wiped out archives of old websites.
The world would have been better if they never existed, there is absolutely no doubt about it.
>>109826787
You might think it's some random joke, it may have been. But there's more to it. Their business model is stealing plausible and confirmed to work business ideas. They literally read all that in their logs. Most contraptions they market as their own (think coding agents, deep research, optimisations, memory etc) are plagiarized from other people and sold to you on a meter.
They do similar thing to amazon. Steal trade secrets and take your niche in the market for themselves.
>>
>>109826763
It would be crazy. But these people are way too proud to do the right thing.

I'll look more into this. It sounds like they are in the business of replacing people's jobs with automation. Which makes sense, if their goal is profit maximization.

I hope that Amazon is able to be unionized. Do not listen to the propaganda that they force you to watch if you are an Amazon employee. That is what it is. It is forced propaganda. Unions really are good.

Anon thank you for being you. Because you exist this gives me hope. I personally have to find a way to preserve what you're saying. Even if the internet ends in gutter trash and has to be done through some other medium.
>>
>>109826819
Sutskever from your pic did nothing, afaik. He's some guy who knew a guy in finance. Other two were actual contributors: one prof, one programmer.
>>
>>109826856
>replacing people's jobs with automation
You're missing the point. It's about stealing trade secrets. Can it be automated or not is entirely different question in each particular case, so not relevant here.
Traders from Amazon are not Amazon employees, afaik. They are using the marketplace. Trick Amazon uses is to get their supplier info, "to confirm things", then start to compete with that tiny trader, often a single person. Obviously Amazon outsells anyone, on it's own platform especially. Refusing to give up supplier info results in smal trader being kicked out of the marketplace.
>>
>>109826909
Do you want to automate the theft of trade secrets from corporations? What is your intent?
>>
>>109826921
In a way that is what these large AI companies are doing....
>>
>>109826935
Well I think maybe we'd both agree now that the free market is not the best thing, and a reasonable well regulated market, is desirable. Do you agree? I think the EU offers some great models that could be scaled up to the United States.

>>109826796

filter all tripggers and nametards, makes the website a little bit better

>>109826942
>Well I think maybe we'd both agree now that the free market is not the best thing

Okay so how is this your belief? How do non free markets deal with the knowledge problem?

Are you arguing that the means in which resources ought to be allocated is thus done by a central authority? Like AI? Which is what socialism is?

Without inputs from individuals spending their dollars and time as they so determine based on their own circumstances. The central planners would have no capacity to determine how to effectively move and use resources.

>>109826942
Sorry. Read the first sentence. Got heated. But yes I think we would agree on most things.

Exactly my question too, this nigga probably can't even code, let alone invent anything. At least no coder tech CEOs of the past were useful, but this guy and the Claude guy... they can't even pretend like they're actually competent.

No. Fuck him for destroying personal computing. He should be in prison!

He killed my career. My colleagues that are using ai agents are getting dumber and rotting their brain, all intelligence being out sourced to ai. Yet at the end of the day they are correct that it’s faster and better for business.

I am still developing code by mostly hand with occasional chat gpt help, not using ai agents. Yes it will hit me but I have until end of q4 to still start using agents.

My job will not exist in a few years, statistically many of us will not be in software engineering in a couple years. I don’t have a plan to where to switch into.

I didn’t sign up for telling AI to do my work when I learned about cs in high and college. I feel like the last 8 years have been a waste of time getting a degree in CS.
