I can't say I haven't been enjoying my time using fedora but I haven't used any benefit of btrfs literally ever. Also, the fact that red hat removed btrfs from RHEL long ago makes me wonder if they trust this filesystem.
Yeah, just upgraded to 44. Pretty comfy.
Are they finally switching to kmscon?>>109834930

>>109838890Wow 13 months not 9... that's a whole 4 more months.I guess if you want an LTS version supported for 5-15 years like UBONGO LTS you gotta get RHEL.
>>109834930>dnf update>eyy chuddy not enough space on /boot>read about the issue>it’s so unreliable to resize the volune using live usb that fedora recommends reinstalling the whole os (!!) if you originally set up fedora 42 or earlier
>>109834930I love fedora. I switched to it like 2 years ago, but now I already feel pressure by the fast release cycle. The upgrade feature worked mostly, but I always have the feeling that my system is fully bloated afterwards. So I want to reinstall, but reinstalling is always a hassle, because I have no scripted method of setting up my software. The data is no problem
I always updoot right away but don't care about most of the changes or get excited about new releases. Especially because I'm on GNOME which doesn't change much anymore every release has been extremely boring for me, which is a good thing. Maybe some system component will be 10% faster. The OS should be boring. I used to think I'd be happier on Debian but since Fedora hasn't ever broken on me I don't see any reason to go for that route.
