C/C++ have done many-billions-of-dollars-worth of damage to the computing industry, but we're slowly (but surely) cleaning it all up.
Say "Thank you!".

Why do baseddevs need 6 gorillion dependencies?
Does anyone actually make things anymore

no and in fact there is an ongoing push to paint "making things" as taboo and evil.
you SHOULD use a dependency. if you don't, it's immoral. you're asking for
>security holes
>it's worse in every way
>nobody will know how to use it!
etc. and so on

no i'm not advocating for this position. yes there are a trillion counterarguments that instantly defeat it. no it doesn't matter. it's not a good faith rationalization.

C/C++ projects tend to have few well-chosen and stable dependency, instead of doing the npm-style russian roulette, you retarded shitposter.

Not so fast Rustfag, Ada is getting back into the driver's seat, with top companies like Nvidia using it for critical code, relegating Rust to non-mission critical tasks.

Keep deluding yourself.

Formal verification is a so much better concept than rust's shitty ownership model and borrow checker.

RAII is cool.

Anon. Shut the fuck up.
Even Nvidia knows no one gives a shit about that gay shit.

Show me your rust video decoders superior to libavcodec.

You aren't helping your case here bro.

You're really only a shitposter.
Go be retarded somewhere else.

You're the one deflecting bro.
You're claiming "well curated" nonsense and also ignoring that xz was C and had a drastically higher blast radius than even the meme arrayref crate thing, that affected basically no one.

DEADBOOB

>more retarded shit
xz actually had a low impact after all because not everyone picked the newest release immediately, not everyone used the release tarball. The impact was minimal after all and it didn't even have anything to do with C as a language.
If your argument was that C has supply chain attacks too, then you're right. But C simply doesn't have anything like cargo or npm, which makes dependencies invisible and almost hidden, and supply-chain attacks almost trivial.
And rust libraries always have a retarded deep dependency graph because why the hell not, it's so easy to do.
>You're the one deflecting bro.
So where is your full coverage of media formats by a rust library or libraries?
You're still dependent on C code.

But to be honest, I don't want to waste my time on some low IQ internet subhuman, so go waste someone else's time, retarded child.

Again, making my point for me. You lost and are retarded.

GPUs have never been critical for anything.
Nowadays, even less so, for generating bitcoin mining scams and AI slop. That’s it.

Memelang no-one uses.

>>109843582
Technically its gcc and clang that did the damage. With their malicious interpretation of undefined behavior. msvc never did any of this undefined behavior nonsense.
>>
>>109845342
I use it to write firmware that is way better and faster then C and uses less CPU.
