AGI is physically impossible. A bunch of ones and zeroes can't reason they can only imitate reasoning. Reasoning requires sentience that cold metal will never have.I think we've pretty much hit the limit with AI capabilities now for the next couple of decades if not longer. Very few people are going to lose their jobs from this point on, and many of the ones who already lost theirs will be rehired when the fad dies out.

Intellect & will are immaterial. The only beings with intellect & will that we know of exist as true substances. The "AIs" that we create are artefacts, which are accidental forms. I doubt that a rational being with intellect & will can exist as an accidental form.
