Best PSU brand?
>>
PSUs without visible brand are usually the best.
>>
>>109861581
There's no reason to buy anything but Seasonic.
>>
>>109861581
Seasonic and superflower
>>
i bet it was set to 110v
>>
>>109861781
doesn't even have a switch for that
even if it had and it was the fuse should blow not the PSU
>>
>>109861581
I got some random chink 500W PSU from aliexpress and I've had it running at 80% of max load continuously for 3 days so far and there's been no problem
>>
for me, it's Seasonic
>>
>>109861581
I only buy Seasonic and have done so almost 30 years. I've never had one fail yet. So either I'm do, or they're great PSUs.
>>
>>109861581

Any with japanese capacitors and 10 year warranty.

Can't go wrong

cute

All brands make shit budget psus. Don't blindly trust a brand name. Many are just rebadges in fact. Seasonic, bequiet!, Corsair, Coolermaster, Fractal Design, FSP, Phanteks, Super Flower, Thermaltake, NZXT, all have good high end models. Even the AIBs like MSI, Gigabyte, Asus, and Asrock have some good high end psus.
>>
>>109862300
There's like 3 actual companies who make good PSUs out of the ones you listed, rest just order from those 3 and rebrand.
Plus a bunch of smaller no-name manufactures who make shit budget units.
>>
i liked my be quiet psu before the bearing got fucked and i replaced the fan with arctic p12 after a year of pissing me off
>>109862318
>>109862300
you dont buy BRANDS you buy PRODUCTS ideally you look at the MEASUREMENTS and base your decision on that
trusting any company blindly is goy behavior
>>
>>109862300
Very important: most brands don't make their own guts.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1akCHL7Vhzk_EhrpIGkz8zTEvYfLDcaSpZRB6Xt6JWkc/edit?usp=sharing
Seasonic makes their own guts. So does FSP. Mine is an FSP Hydro G Pro ATX 3.0 1000W and it's rock solid. While Seasonic shills aren't wrong about their quality, it's not like they're the only manufacturer out there you can't go wrong with, and even then Seasonic had their duds. Corsair has plenty of solid units despite being CWT rebrands.

In short: consult the tier list before your purchase. It's actively updated, very clear in it's criteria, and it bases itself on in-depth tests such as ones done by Aris of HW Busters. Don't trust brand names, trust per-product stress tests.

Retards shop by brand
Smart people shop by reviews, specs and OEMs
Even Seasonic has some shit models now
>>
>>109862395
Only on the lower end and only retards buy low end PSUs
>>
>>109862380
>Seasonic makes their own guts
Except their low end models which are rebranded chink crap
>>
BeQuiet german masterrace
>>
>>109862263
in 10 years you should be more than ready for a more powerful gpu that needs a more powerful psu
>>
>>109861581
Isn't it super retarded to touch the device after it caught fire? It's an electronics shop they must have a breaker and a fire extinguisher ready at all times.
>>
>>109862642
in 10 years you should expect an improvement of efficiency, not power consumption
>>
>>109862642
I'll undervolt and still have better performance.

isn't the OEM for EVGA PSUs Super Flower?
>>
>>109861581
Corsair RMx series is the goat for ripple suppression, which I believe matters most.
That being said I hear they use cheaper components now so try and find something from 2021 or earlier if you can.

you redditing cunt, prove it

my EVGA PSU shat itself and almost took out the GPU with it, went with Superflower after that

Seasonic, FSP, Great Wall, Super Flower
Everything else is either white-labeled from those companies or are made from the finest arson-grade chinesium.

The fan on my Super Flower Leadex VII XP PRO 1200W Platinum developed a loud rattle in a couple weeks. It's annoying but I'm too lazy to return it. It probably works fine with the fan off too but I'm never buying this shit again.
>>
>>109861743
This, but in the opposite order.
>>
>>109863667
which of the two is fractal
>>

I got a refurbished corsair for 50 yuros (actually built by seasonic) in 2013 that's still in my pc and working today. if i ever need another psu it will be seasonic
>>
>>109862380
>Seasonic makes their own guts. So does FSP.
Super Flower too (except for some low-end models)
>>

FSP is basically the closest thing to an actual industrial reliability PSU as they conformal coat and the units are basically identical to the units meant to work in a grimy plant for decades or run some life saving equipment.

I'm sure Seasonic still makes good units but I have a slight distaste nowadays for blanket hype or hearsay. It's not enough to say X brand is good, or even that a certain product level from X brand is always good.

I have an EVGA G2 1300w which I kinda don't like for the same reasons but the evidence is actually pretty overwhelming for it's reliability but that is also in hindsight long after the hype is dead. I otherwise don't have a desire to touch any newer super flower units.

>>109861581
anything with 10 year warranty and platinum cybernetics rating

next thing you're gonna tell me we need anti-static wristbands, right?

efficient for who
>>
I've used a CoolerMaster 850w since 2010 and now a Corsair SF750 for 2 years, works like a charm.
>>
>>109864589
>next thing you're gonna tell me we need anti-static wristbands, right?
Ironically yes.
Google didn't use any type of ESD and got told to pound sand by Quanta and Foxconn when shit started failing within a year. They got shown evidence of ESD damage when RMAing parts.
>>
>>109864589
^Literal retard.
If you ever approach any high-speed electronics and you don't wear a wristband you ate getting quartered on the spot because that shit is super sensitive and costs 500k easily.
>>
>>109861581
The one that is an OEM and produces good PSUs at that, so Seasonic, FSP, Superflower, and so on. Also what is that idiot even doing in the video?
>>
>>109864636
>>109864626
planned obsolescence
fucking skill issue
should have been more
>efficient
>>
>>109862723
The only good EVGA power supplies were made by SuperFlower.
