Did you notice that YouTube RSS feeds now have proper "shorts" URLs for short videos? You can easily filter and delete them now.

>>109878054There is a naming scheme that lets you ignore the shorts on feeds already.
>>109881528The prefix on the channel ID URL can be changed and you can find lists of every available prefix if you search.from one quick google:The same format can be used by replacing "UC" at the beginning of the channel ID with "UUSH" to get a playlist of only short videos. For example, a channel ID of "UCutJqz56653xV2wwSvut_hQ" will result in a playlist ID of "UUSHutJqz56653xV2wwSvut_hQ".Also, other prefixes exist:prefix contentsUULF VideosUULP Popular videosUULV Live streamsUUMF Members-only videosUUMO Members-only contents (videos, short videos and live streams)UUMS Members-only short videosUUMV Members-only live streamsUUPS Popular short videosUUPV Popular live streamsUUSH Short videos
>>109881567Did you try it yourself? I'm having some trouble getting the url to work, it keeps redirecting me to the homepage when I change the prefix. Could you give some full url examples, maybe I'm not doing it right?
>>109878891RSS feeds are an excellent way to avoid falling into the "consuming everything as entertainment" issue social media websites fundementally have. As long you maintain strong curation attitdues and don't add a bunch of random feeds.
>>109881672Do a search for the topic. I have a page explaining it much better bookmarked but on my other computer. It works well I use this method on my RSS. You just take the channel ID and change out the UUC prefix to one of the other ones and it pulls the feed on the criteria listed. A few sites have full lists of the prefixes.
>>109884131Agree. As soon as you control your interface you realize just how much of these sits are devoted to shoving bullshit down your throat, and how obnoxious it is. They make you hate interacting with their sites.
>>109884323Thanks. I was using the wrong url, I thought maybe it could work with the standard channel link instead of the playlist link for some reason. It's basically
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=
followed by the channel ID (including the changed prefix).
>>109884443I even got the tag wrong. Fuck I'm tired.
