Your original case pick is unnecessarily huge, and you don't need a 1.5kW PSU.
Switch the memory stick to a 6000 MT/s kit if you can't downclock the 6400 MT/s EXPO setting on your own in the BIOS.
You could just buy the cheapest 2x 16GB DDR5 kit if you don't care about memory overclocking.

the AIO q connector is probably one of the very few asus gimmicks I like. The fans are fixed on the radiator as one unit with some cables for an extension you cannot, or shouldn't pull off but that's just some minor thing. AIO lighting you can control via the motherboard manager of the x870e refresh boards but only simple stuff, not sure if you can control the GPU lighting somehow other than Armory Crate I cannot recommend to install or third party software like OpenRGB. Idk if I would get the LC IV again with the Noctua AIO around though I'd prefer it in black. Maybe ProArt will release something with the q connector in future.

Game studios can't afford to price out their customers with costlier system requirements.

Each OLED generation drives brightness instead of panel longevity as that's measurable and marketable. Then again you can just keep it at a lower brightness percentage and thus get all the longevity benefits of the newer panel.

Here is the ultimate reality. AMD cards are superior. Why are AMD cards superior? Because ray-tracing is a niche technology. Only NVidia themselves and Nintendo use NVidia chips. No exclusive feature like RT or PT will ever be fundamental or important compared to what raw power and affordability offer. All you'll get is that, if you use NVidia cards, the devs maybe smear some vaseline on everything for you.

I got a low spec build using a I7 4790, 16 GB DDR3, and a GTX 1050 Ti, all on a Gigabyte ga-h87n motherboard that I'm trying to get working. First time booting, I had no video display from either the GPU or the motherboard. I figured it was the power supply, a used Apveia 250W I was gonna use for a XP build. Just today I got a new 300W PSU from Amazon, same brand, and now the system cycles on and off. Granted, I got the mobo from Ebay a few months ago, and this was my first time trying it out. I don't want to waste any more money, and I already have a small PC working that could do the same thing, just wanted another backup.

There is no down the line. 5090
Performance is stuck at $5,000 for the next half decade atleast. 5080 has almost zero noticeable difference to a 5070ti and the 6080 won't be any different and will probably cost 2,500 anyway. The only way forward for tye next decade will be getting a card with a 90 at the end of it's name.

The 6080, 7080, and 8080 will all be the same performance with the same amount of vram made for less money and sold for higher and higher prices.

The 90 series clearly is on its way out. Nvidia can't justify supplying chips that capable for the consumer market when corporate is more than willing to pay 2-3 times the MSRP if only because it's almost a Blackwell 6000. Next gen won't have a 90 series card or it will be 90 series in name only, much like how everything below the 90 series is actually a tier lower when considering die sizes.

What the fuck are you talking about? The 4090 and 5090 are banned from exports to China. That's why they made the 4090D and 5090D. 90 cards are perfectly viable as a professional product and even boomers in government know it.

>>
>Nvidia is going to abandon a market they have a 90% share of.
I'm not saying it'll never happen, but it'd be really dumb. Yes, it's not the most profitable market they have, but it's an extremely safe market that they've had dominance of for decades, which has no real competition and isn't really of much interest to anyone else.

It's not like gaming GPUs are unprofitable either, it's more than covered the cost of development and production for Nvidia, and has allowed them to grow as a company. It's just not the absolutely most short term profitable thing they could be doing with the resources.

The issue with the other guy's PC isn't the 650W rated capacity, he's likely using an E-Tier PSU to power a video card that is known to have extreme transient power spikes.
ATX 2.x compliant PSUs also didn't have to meet stricter transient load requirements added in 3.x.
LTT demonstrated running a high end PC with a 4090 at full power on a Seasonic 650W PSU.

The cheapest of the monitors featuring the latest coating is the MO32U24 and even that is the same price as an LG C5 42"
There's no option in 27", only in 32" btw
>>
>>109885159
Tvs are cheaper because you're the product

Why don't they put a glass panel on oled monitors? Tvs have them and it helps protection a lot, but instead pc monitors just get scratched up like crazy

it could always be worse. At leas the x3d cpus are nice, and the 9070xt is pretty decent bang for buck comparatively

The budget slow AI build is the former, the budget raytraced gaymen build is the latter.

how much are those each? I'd get a 9070 xt

$100 difference on 5070 but it's obviously worse for sloppa and AI might be standard in this gen

You don't come in here to keep in touch with hardware every once in a while? Also, price changes and consumerism shenanigans, like burning that new connector with DLSS5 THAT ISN'T EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE OUT BUT RETARDS KEEP USING THEM AND POWER SURGING THEIR GPUS HOLY FUCK RETARDS

yall weren't kidding. I just typed general in the search.

AI absolutely butchered this board. They need to make a containment board for it

How do I get a 5090 under $5,090? Unironically.

Early 2028 for the RTX60 series? They might roll out some expensive supers and refreshes, due to AI and ram shortages. I may as well go back to sleep, bad mistake to get a 5080 with only 16gb, but I couldn't find a cheap 5090.
Anyway I heard GTA was average and some though other games were better overall.

High demand, supplies going lower and lower, no effort to remove the production line bottleneck. And why should they, they make money hand over fist with this logistical bottleneck. Also the AI race between USA and China.

Who makes the best AMD GPUs? I think Asus and MSI make good Nvidia cards but I'm not sure who's considered good for AMD. Are ASrock okay? Or should I get a GIGABYTE?

Sapphire. Been buying Sapphire for decades. Nitro or Pulse, either are good.

I actually think Asrock makes good stuff, but I'm on AM4, their bios is 100 times better than MSI I can say for sure.
my gpu is their 9070 xt steel legend, love it
people shill sapphire a lot but I think they used to be better than they are now, and XFX is very solid, in this 9000 series they killed it, they have the best cards

Sapphire Pulse, Nitro
Power Color Hellhound, Red Devil
XFX Quicksilver, Mercury

It mostly filters glue sniffers at a 385W maximum power limit, it has enough safety margin at that level.

It's 2026, we already know it starts melting above 300w even without user error so there's no use gaslighting people at this point. You just have to be unlucky and have unbalanced amps per pin

>>
>>109885816
tru. If I got a 3 pin one I would have had to buy a new PSU
>>
>>109885803
You realize server GPUs with those same connectors are running just fine at 300W power draw?
Let me know when a mass recall's initiated.

>You just have to be unlucky and have unbalanced amps per pin
The connector for these sub 400W cards have to come noticeably loose for the uneven current distribution to cause the plastic housing to melt.
We're talking less than 6A per pin when evenly distributed for that 9070 XT.
Almost every 4090 would've had their power connector replaced if your fearmongering was true.

You all complain about Nvidia, but what you don't realize is that they're surgically engineered to ensure every data center in the world has hundreds of 5090s and above connected to cheap server-grade PSU via the cheapest 12VHPWR money can buy.

The fires will start in the new year. And inshallah you will all feel foolish for doubting the plan.
>>
>>109885803
>have unbalanced amps per pin
FYI, the 12V-2x6 connector on the Nitro+ has a 1.7 safety factor at maximum rated power draw (385W)
The safety factor during typical gaming power draw goes up to nearly 1.9 (351W according to TechPowerUp, including RT).

WireView Pro II's audible alarm kicks in when an individual pin receives over 10A of current.
The connector mostly filters out retards or poor QC at sub 400W power draw, and that's fine.
>>
>>109885855
>>109885933
Not all but many 12vhpwr cables out there are poorly constructed and allows the pin to move around in the housing by more than half a millimeter which completely unbalances the amps across the connector through slight movement

Unsubstantiated claim, and that's a QC issue not a specification one.

Power Color probably wanted to upsell people to the Red Devil.
Or the Hellhound’s margins didn’t make sense after AMD asked everyone to lower the MSRP (before memory shortages).

Can anyone help me at all?

I am currently running a computer with Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC. It has an ASUS Crosshair X870E Glacial motherboard, an AMD 9950X3D2 Dual edition CPU, 64GB G.Skill Trident Neo DDR5-6000 CL30 RAM, a Crucial T710 Gen. 5 NVMe drive, and a Zotac RTX 5080. Up until recently, it was working fine, and it's only a few months old on this build. However, I must have touched something or broke something because now it has an issue where all Explorer related functions "lock up," after certain triggers. The triggers mainly seem to be if I wake it up from sleep, or just after turning on the PC. Well that's not what actually triggers it, but that seems to be the "setup" for triggering it. The actual trigger is basically any kind of mildly heavy computer usage during those periods. Browsing Twitter, clicking on Canvas Affinity, trying to download something. What it does is cause everything to lock up, in the sense that I cannot get to the Task Manager, I cannot open the start menu, I cannot start any new programs, and I cannot get to the Ctrl+Alt+Del menu. The only things I can do are continuing to use the programs I already have open or close those programs. Only a hard reset by forcing a shutdown will get me out of this lockup. It also blue-screened once, but that was just once. Resetting the graphics driver via shortcut does nothing, though I haven't been into safe mode to DDU and reinstall the graphics driver, I also don't think that's what's causing it. The only way I am able to use my computer at all is if I turn it on, and then don't touch it for about 10-15 minutes. Then when I log in, I make sure to close all programs and let the computer "warm up" for a bit. After that, I can use the computer normally, I believe. This makes me worried that it is a hardware issue, but since the problem is so bad I'm considering just reinstalling my whole OS, wiping the whole partition, and maybe even going to Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC.
>>
>>109886220
Sounds like your windows install got corrupted somewhere
Might have to do a full reinstall to get it back to normal. Also this tends to happen if your ram isn't 100% stable
>>
>>109885981
All of corsairs 2x8-pin to 12vhpwr cables are designed that way though
You seem to be utterly ignorant to how fucked 12vhpwr cables can be
>>
>>109886245
Just to make sure I disabled all RAM tuning. The RAM was working fine for about two months, so even though its used I'm not really suspecting the RAM at all. Is there anything I can try to investigate with? I'm afraid of reinstalling just to learn that something else is the issue anyways.
>>
>>109886250
If it only happens after wake from sleep, never sleep your PC
Maybe your board is buggy and doesn't initialize your ram properly when waking from sleep
>>
>>109886258
It also happens every time I turn the PC on. Actually waking from sleep is most likely to cause the issues, but turning the computer on and then "immediately going to do things" also causes it. The only way to not have that happen is to turn the computer on, then leave it for 15 or so minutes so some of the programs can initialize before I sign into my account.

If it is a buggy board or RAM, how the fuck can I tell and what do I do?
>>
>>109886248
Yet not all of those Corsair cables have caused melting.
Keep your story straight.

I’ve already explained the math for the 9070 XT, you fucking idiot.
Even with uneven current distribution, it’s extremely unlikely one pin would receive over 9.5A if the cable is properly connected.

There’s far higher safety margin that fewer than ten publicly known retards managed to fuck up.
If you’re concerned about ending up in that very exclusive group, just kill yourself.

all qdoleds have the glass beneath the actual plasticy ar coating if you manage to peel it off without destroying your monitor

standard what most fits your description is the asus "true glossy" variants on the woled monitors which most resemble the same kind of coating on lg oled tvs
which is probably the most glossy coating you can get on a monitor right now
