Cheap and high output leds have bad CRI. The LED emits only blue (almost UV, the spike in those charts), which is then filtered through a phosphor layer to produce white light spectrum. More phosphor, less blue light. You can imagine that it takes relatively lot of phosphor to produce any red from blue leds, therefire the limen output suffers the higher the CRI. Hue bulbs for example work around this by having actual red leds in the mix.
If you don't notice a difference you're the perfect cattle and don't need to change anything. Just buy whatever bulb. If you notice how absolute shit most LED lights are at producing acceptable light then you always want to test before you buy and only buy the ones that sorta make okayish light. Incandescent still have the best colors simply due to how physics work.

That phosphor costs money, the more and the better it is the more expensive.Cities absolutely hate to spend money so they pick the cheapest fucking lighting they can get away with and that's cold white LED because warm white would mean thicker phosphor and better color rending would mean more expensive phosphor. So in the end you end up with nothing but cold light LED street lamps with shitty light that turn pink or whatever after a couple years because the phosphor they chose is so low quality that it degrades quickly. That's why you see so many street lamps with funny colors now. The phosphor in them degraded.

Do you seriously think they go >hmmmm... the color rending of the street lamps we chose is abysmal... the orange car parked next to the lamp looks rather de-saturated...No one in charge thinks like that. Cold white LEDs with shitty CRI are simply the best bang for the buck and there's absolutely no incentive for them to switch to actually good lights. Not even simply warm white LED since even that already means less light for the same money spent on electricity. The difference between each individual lamp may be quite small but you have to think at scale here. A city doesn't have just one street lamp. With hundreds it does make a difference.

The thing about incandescents that cannot be replicated with LEDs is the dimming behavior. As you dim the incandescent, it becomes more and more orange red which is insanely comfy. It's delightful at night now to have the lights on low in my house. Pure kino. The way I save energy is by turning down the light when I'm not in the room.My house is an oasis of darkness and peace now in this fucked up LED world
