I actually really liked my Pixel and the only reason I'm not still using it was their stupid hardware or firmware issue that prevented it from powering on if the battery fully died. I should have RMA'd it when I had the chance.

It's easier to just adopt android which was built for energy awareness than it is to try and unfuck GNU.Android also opens up more ARM SoCs where most have non-existent mainline Linux support but first class Android reference images.Expect ChromeOS to be reserved exclusively for Institutions in the long run.
