why does the "safest language" in the world have a npm like system for packages? why does rust not have a big standard library instead? if i have to exploit one C project i can only do it to that one C project, but if say i have the budget of a nation-state behind me i can simply put some malicious stuff into cargo and have the ability to exploit 40.000 different pieces of software all at once.

As long as you stay far away from its community (that goes for most languages but doubly so for Rust), it's fine.Sometimes I find some of the design choices weird and annoying, other times it's downright fun to write. t. forced to write rust for a living
