Anything above Intel i-core 5 or Ryzen 5 is high end. x3D is already an enthusiast choice.

The average normalfag still rocks AM4 + DDR4 RAM, and is lucky to even have a dedicated GPU. And if they have a 3D card, it's either GTX or a 2000 / 3000 series RTX.

This was holding me back for years, I remapped and reworked so many features and functions with AHK, my script was about 2K SLOC.

I'm on NixOS now with Espanso, Hyprland dispatchers and Ydotool. It's not perfect but it's close enough for me.

For me at the moment, it's game mods that can be flaky. Games themselves run fine but I want to hack in ultrawide support to GTA:VC it's imperfect.

There are several file system explorer tools in Linux. I use vifm.

Autokey works fine in X11 and it's not hard to use. In Wayland it was a problem until recently due to the security model.

Anyway my point is not switch to Linux, it was knowing what wouldn't have. What's stopping most of the time is friction, not software. Why change? That's the question.
