This is a boring bait. You're boring me.
>>
that’s bait
anyways
the real wild card in all of this is how willing the US gov is to prop up the facade of GDP growth
with open Chinese models now generally available and good, it’s hard to see how OAI and ANT don’t completely fold

These retards on reddit are announcing a crash since COVID. They are clueless.

It will be interesting to see what happens to NVIDIA. I know they’re in a “gold rush sell shovels” phase and they’ve made a fortune. But one of the funny things about capitalism is that the line has to go up forever, and even though they’ve made out like bandits, their stock price will still plummet once the AI boom dries up just because that line won’t go up anymore.

Openai and Claude are getting superceded before they hit positive net profit by competitive agents they built themselves. Fucking stupid shit

There have been 2 crashes since covid, moron. The latest one was >35% drop. We had about 50% drop before that. The only reason it took about a year to recover instead of a decade is it got propped up by infinite money printing. We know what that looks like historically.
>>
>>109932666
Top AI companies are anthropic and openAI. Pretty sure Anthropic has more than 50% market share at this point.
Why are ths not even included?
Oracle is a bankrupt company that's only held up by promises of OpenAI to pay them at some point in the future.
>>
>>109937919
Because they're very small spenders compared to the big 5 behemoths, and nvidia, that are bankrolling them.
>>
>>109932666
Didn't read your blog. Came here to say nice trips.

Neither openai or anthropic are according to isaiprofitable.com.

They have the majority of the market though. Of the ones you call "behemoths" only Google has any traction selling AI.

Behemoths in the market cap and capex sense. They can afford to spend the way they do. And Amazon, Oracle, Microsoft, and Google (although Google also does direct to consumer AI like you pointed out) mostly invest in and buy out other AI labs and startups, and provide them datacenter resources. The biggest outside stakeholders in anthropic are Amazon and Google. The biggest stakeholder in openai is Microsoft. They have big exposure to AI this way while also being relatively insulated if it backfires. Nvidia is trying to do the same thing.
Only meta seems intent on doing everything in house.
>>
>>109932692
you'd be surprised at how retarded the corporate world is and how much it loves throwing money around just so that they can rely on another friendly corp instead of an open tool that needs to be taken care of.

yeah. uh. you may want to check out the leaked S-1 filing from Anthropic lel.
>>
>>109940372
They aren't insulated at all if it backfires. They just aren't completely dead like OpenAI and Anthropic are, should their product fail. They'd still lose a lot from any kind of failure.
Nvidia isn't insulated either, because they are guaranteeing loans for pretty much every "AI factory" that asks, all of which sell capacity to Anthropic and OpenAI. They need that guarantee to not be called into action.

Meta is probably the only one who is actually insulated, because they've been lighting money on fire on all kinds of ventures for years and this is no different. If it pays off, good for them, if not.. oh well, business as usual.

He should have said little Einsteins.

I’m still waiting on that anon to respond to my question of where will the $140B in profit a year come from for OpenAI and Anthropic.

It’s always some made up numbers by the narcissistic AIsisters about how this will all magically pay off by the timeline they set with revenue and profits they made up.
>>
>>109941515
>$140B profit
you mean $40B. OpenAI already has $70B in annualized revenue and they’ve been doubling their revenue every year so they’re on pace to achieve this by next year. Profit will certainly come from inference, though it’s true that in the coming years, they will spend much more money on training better models. In either case the hyperscalers will be repaid. It’s just a question of whether OAI and Anthropic can survive, which might depend on regulating open models, or going all-in with recursive self-improvement and gate keeping their best models for super premium deals.
