So now that the dust has settled, is it a meme?

I like the concept, because a P2P internet hosting system like freenet, i2p never actually works or can gain any real large userbase. To this day they are slow and dead.

P2P web in theory sounds nice but it runs on altruism, and anyone with two braincells can figure out the world by and large doesn't run on altruism, it runs on money, power and influence limited by resources. Also the bandwidth is limited in P2P and direct downloads are superior. Most game pirated downloads these days are switching to direct download and arweave would be perfect

It's an interesting tech. Censorship free storage of data, permanently all you have to do is pay a one time fee which ensures it's place forever.
