>Video codecs don't work
>Games don't work or have graphical issues or sound issues
>Games stutter
>Desktop stutters
>Desktop frame drops
>YouTube loads slow

Ahh the Linux desktop in 2026

Skill issue fpbp /thread

Works on my machine.

works here.

When people tell you "skill issue" and "works on my machine" what they actually mean is "i only use programs and hardware thats compatible with linux so i havent experienced what you describe."
basically their solution to "its not working" is "then dont use that anymore"

Works on my (many) machines

use wine with some windows shit and works just fine. games as well. also have a quite complicated audio setup and again, works fine. so much so I kinda forgot what I did when I first set it up 7 years ago. if that thing goes I'll have to relearn everything so I can do it again lol
worked perfectly every single fucking day with literally zero issues
>>
Works for me and believe me I am not good with computers.

I bet your ass listened to retarded youtubers and installed linux mint while having a rtx GPU

Install cachyOS or gentoo/Arch if you have time
>>
>"uhm it does work on my machine thoe hehe :-)"
>take a look at her machine "working"
>still same issues but she's just coping like crazy
>"well it SOUNDS so it's okay, it also DOES show shit on screen so that's something.... h-hehehehe.."
many, MANY such cases!

Ultramarine Linux is better than cachy doebiet. If we are talking about clean KDE distros that haven't been jeeted and still user friendly without a million jeet programs installed

>OS made with the sole purpose of being a cheap (free) server OS for multibillion dollar corporations is an awful desktop OS
What are the odds

you always build your linux. the only time you install a default setup is when you are testing shit in a vm and want something up and ready and you delete it after you're done, or when you install your first distro.
you always build your own setup and you include only what you need. this recipe always worked perfectly for me. zero issues, zero nonsense, max performance
>>
never had any of these issues except vrr flicker but that's the fault of the va panel not linux, I have had all of these issues on windows thoughbiet

I sometimes watch linux youtubers just for the amusement of finding all the little glitches the video has like popping audio, dropped frames, flashing images, frozen webcam and so on. Sometimes they don't even realize what is wrong with the video even though the commenters point it out to them or they cope with something like
>W-Well it isn't that bad... I have a hotkey to restart pipewire when my audio crashes again so it's no big deal...

Having some guy rave about how great Linux is while the whole video consists of him not being able to do the simplest things because nothing works makes me laugh my ass off everytime. Even funnier is when they think it is their own fault and they need to "get good" because there is just no way that freetards were lying to them.
>>
Imagine feeling so threatened you have to keep making threads filled with lies and vague grievances to stop people moving to Linux.

Anti Linux threads every day. It's almost as if certain corporations had something to gain from making Linux seem unappealing.

Now say that again but without crying because Microsoft broke yet another feature in W11.
