This is the third Beta release (0.7) of The Lunduke Computer Operating System (LCOS).The most critical change in this release is the inclusion of Lunduke's Linux Kernel, based on Linux 7.2.6 (with no Rust, and custom build settings), as the default kernel. While this change has undergone a great deal of testing (both manual and automated), the scope of this change means that unexpected issues are a virtual certainty on some hardware configurations. Report any hardware or boot issues here on GitHub, on X (@LundukeJournal), or on Forum.Lunduke.com.Some Noteworthy Changes from 0.6 to 0.7:The LCOS custom "Lunduke's Linux Kernel" is now the default kernel, based on the latest Linux Kernel release (without Rust).Included support for additional hardware.Lunduke Edit is now the default text editor.A new "About This Computer" display which is more in line with the LCOS design philosophy (includes running GUI apps, their memory usage, and the ability to force close them).Lunduke Paint updated to 0.7.Lunduke City added -- a hard fork of Micropolis (the open sourced SimCity), with a brand new UI, rewritten to be both a) modern and b) more in line with vintage, classic SimCity.Minor fixes to improve wallpaper handling, boot animations, and status items.https://github.com/BryanLunduke/LCOS/releases/tag/0.7
anyone used this OS?
>>109938055shabbat shalom goyim, this is the third test of the jewnduke jewish os. we removed things we pushed because you're bad goyim so we had to patch it like before, are you happy now goy boy?
I compiled Lunduke Paint and was praying the filters, hue and lighting didn't use GEGL and they don't. I typed rg -i. "gegl" in the source dir hoping not to find it because obviously fascist should be shunned from using FOSS librariesBut I'll be honest I think the bucket fill pattern is cool but I don't see a use for this.
Why don't we change the subject to something else in this thread because nazi OS's aren't cool. Does anyone here like lemons and caring for the elderly? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fslmOOYhuK4

fuck, I forgot to comment. I'm interesting in studying the neuroscience and psychology of double lives and extremes like pic above. All of us exhibit this behavior in a proto extent like when we change personalities depending who we are with or who is in the facebook DM. But why do some people go as far as brokentux1999?
I want to like this OS. It is saying and doing all the right things, but I have this weird uneasy gut feeling about the guy.

I compiled Lunduke Paint. It is interesting because its like mspaint/kolourpaint but with layers and a few filters like GEGL but destructive, even text is raster and its ORA exportableI wonder if he and his alt right villain pals made this or if it was AI? Eitherway maybe we should put this software on Flathub using this as a profile because I helped improve it reducing the alt right part with a simple screenshot
>>109938055did he made this as a serious project or just a part of his skit?I couldn't tell
>>109944235Same.It's also, as always, sad that it remains a linux distro, but I guess it's the practical thing to do for now.
>>109944660>remains a linux distroas opposed to what?
>>109945233A BSD operating system, something illumos based, a kolibriOS fork, anything.
>>109944210>name drops all his favorite gay lordsI will always be content not knowing who these faggots are.
>>109944210What the fuck did I just read bahahaha

>>109946281CONFIG_HAVE_RUST=y is a static architecture capability definition. It simply tells the build system that your CPU architecture (e.g., x86_64) is technically capable of supporting Rust. It does not turn Rust on.CONFIG_RUST=y is the actual flag that compiles Rust code and infrastructure into the kernel. If you search further down or look closely at that .config file, you will find CONFIG_RUST is not set (or it will be completely missing), meaning it is disabled.
>>109944268hi beaver, hateanon here. I retired from my leading position in a certain linux community due to AI being accepted. I don't like FOSS anymore, I might get a mac and move on. At least then I'll have working software and dont shoot myself in the foot for the sake of a "community" that doesn't care.
>>109938055Lunduke Lunduke on the wall, who's the nerdiest of them all?I respect what you do, I think it would be even better if you implemented an AI Glasnost policy - not a ban on AI, but having all machine-generated code marked with comments, and identifiable from human-written code. It's different from the Linux kernel because a distro necessarily has more of a personal touch. Also consider explicitly banning AI-generated assets such as images.
>>109948512yeah you hit me pretty hard. What hurt me the most was having GEGL's lead developer tell me that defamation against other devs or anyone has no place in the community right before getting banned from the chat. But its ok because an antifa post on Fediverse said part of being a good person means being mean to nazis. I was posting neo nazi memes on /g/ making me an indefensible nazi at the time and you were protecting the community from harm.In late 2025 GIMP 3.0.8 released and it crashed with one of my plugins. The culprit plugin was Text Style Food collection plugin and many people filed reports about removing the plugin (tscake.dll/.so) to fix it. I fixed it but the damage was already done.I have split feelings on AI and find image generation frustrating because it largely killed the purpose of GIMP for most people. If we lived in a different world where GIMP 3.0.4 released in 2012 instead of 2025 GIMP could have really posed a threat to Adobe Photoshop but in this reality it stands no chance. I understand your reasoning but FOSS works for me. Out of curiosity I don't need to know what community you are in but what problem do you have? Because linux can do a ton of workflows really and you can make it look like a Mac superficially. The way I see it we are at the end of history for FOSS because AI can make any software for anyone kind of deprecating the point of it.I don't expect Mac people to be anti AI or have tight knit computing communities. Last, I don't know if this is a mature thing to mention but I'm planning on trolling the chuds on /g/ since they are so gullible and I understand their thought process and triggers and the bigotry they consider "based".Oh yeah back in dec 2025 and jan 2026 some dude contacted me about my GEGL plugins and I helped him with his task to port GMIC filters to GEGL. I helped him but then he went AWOL.
>>109938055Reminder that Lunduke is not even a real jew, but he thinks he is a jew just because he married a landwhale jewess and because he """converted""" to judaism. He is actually just a regular shabbos goy.
>>109938055>complains non stop about ai being used in the linux kernel>realises he's a nocoder and that making a distro is difficult>a-actually guys its silly not to use ai!!!
