I got a Moto G Stylus 2024 last month and I think it's and incredible and underrated smartphone, not exagerating. I had a Samsung a14 before then. Motorola... they do the little things that add up to the presentation of the phone. And great slick design that only looks good on your hands rather than on video and photos. I highly recommend. I am shocked. I would have thought Motorola would have done the minimum since they have disappeared since since their Razr days

Its not just about "hiding" my data.
It's about backing a project that has my best interest in mind and nothing else. It's abot open source software that isn't constantly violating me. It's about not being locked into some company that could altering the deal at any time and praying they don't alter it any further.
The locked down side loading is only the beginning.
If Google decided to ban your gmail account tomorrow what would you do? In the near future, it would make your phone an expensive paper weight.
It can and does happen

Please help me, I am a retard.

I live in rural VA. I work inna woods. Mint (t-mobile) works well where I am, and where I work. I wanna try an imported phone.

Per a coverage map, the bands available to me inna woods and near my house (I use wifi at home tho):
5G NR600
4G LTE L700

At my office:
5G NR2500
5G NR600
4G LTE L700
4G LTE L1900
4G LTE L2100

I want to try something like the Xaiomi X18 Pro or Vivo X300 or a Nubia Z80 Ultra, but I also don't want to drop a bunch of money on what amounts to a brick.

Currently have a S23 Ultra with a battery that barely holds a charge for longer than a few hours.

Not too familiar with the UK market but from what I found you can get a brand new S24 Ultra for ~550 off ebay, so I'd consider that.
If you just want the highest possible performance, you can get some xiaomi for that much cash but you lose out on software, cameras, build etc.

At any rate, whatever phone I got would be remaining stock from 2025, RAM prices has made this year's phones a poor value.

Here's the latest iOS 27 beta with the latest Siri ai VS the latest Gemini ai. You can use the link to watch the video to see the before and after results and it's not even close the new Siri AI beats the Gemini AI in photo and video editing. Google messed up the parking lot lines for the parking spaces, it also messed up the guy's eyes when removing glasses, it also messed up removing his hand holding the laptop and finally it was not able to remove the entire shelf against the wall. The new Siri ai did better even though it was a beta.

How gimped are older Samsung ultra models? I see new S23 ultras and shit for a reasonable price for their specs. I had a Note 4 years ago which is probably the best phone I had until the charger port broke and I miss the little pen thingy. Also the infra red remote but that seems to be absent from everything now. Just wondering if it's worth getting a phone that's already a few years old because I know they like to do the whole planned obsolescence shit.
>>
>>109947156
the issue is the battery degradation and how the previous owner cared for the device as far as charging and handling goes. its not worth it imho to buy used. just save up and get a new smartphone with a fresh battery and its in pristine condition.

same issue with older generation smartphones that are still sealed brand new. It doesn’t mean the battery is gonna be in a great condition. They do need to be charged, and they need to be set to a certain way, and they don’t come with that from the factory, unfortunately, so the battery will have degradation.

Everything you need to get an ad-free YouTube Music experience on iOS without paying for a subscription, you can sideload custom modified IPA files like YTLitePlus or YouTubeiVanced using tools like Sideloadly, AltStore, or SideStore. With Google locking down, it's crazy to think in 2027 iOS will be able to install files without a pc and android will need a 24 hour wait than a pc adb file load. No waiting time is needed to use ipa files and sideloaded apps on iOS.

I'm leaning towards the 10 because of the better SoC, more RAM, better fingerprint sensor and because the USB-C port isn't soldered on to the motherboard like it is the case with the 10a. On the other hand I don't want to overpay. 10a seems like a solid phone too.

I'm currently using NextCloud installed via snap. If I was doing it from scratch I'd use the AIO docker container.
I have it set up with nginx proxy manager, ports forwarded and a domain I bought via cloudflare.
Works really well, but I might do some research into lighter options.
At first I used all of NextClouds features, but then I moved my photos to immich, messaging to Signal (NextCloud talk sucks), so all I really do is file sync and the occasional document editing.

How have you anon's experience been with purchasing 2nd hand phones from vendors that specialise in 2nd hand/refurb devices?
Trying to get a pixel 10 here in Aus but stock is overpriced and getting more and more skint

Yeah, about 80 out of 120 posts right now is just one autistic jeet, pretending to be 3 Americans whose cousins buy flagships by working at Chipotle.

I recently unlocked the bootloader on my CN ROM Oppo Find X9 Pro and flashed a global ROM because it only became possible 1-2 months ago. Is anyone here aware of any working root methods to make apps like revolut and paypal work? I obviously only pass basic integrity, I tried a bunch of different module combinations and only got it up to basic and device integrity but I have read banking apps like these I mentioned don't care much about integrity since they check other things instead

I've donated to GrapheneOS because they're putting a lot of work into making the experience better.
I'm very happy with the direction it's going.

My samsung s20 fe is finally dead (it won't get out of airplane mode) so it's time for a new phone.

Anyone know what the best provider deal would be? I could currently switch from mint to a new provider that includes a phone or I was thinking about buying the XIAOMI Poco X8 I saw in the guide.

Can't believe after 20 plus years of android I might be switching to iPhone. The pixel 10 pro xl has been a huge disappointment for me. Terrible gaming performance, bad battery life. Camera is great though and I got it for only 800 bucks. Sucks also because my dad got me the pixel 4 watch and I've been liking it for working out.

Is buying an old flagship a bad idea? Currently on Samsung A54, I dropped it and the screen is fucked now. Was thinking of S25 or equivalent, dunno really.
>>
>>109946196
Yes, yesterday I traded in my 16 pro max for an 18 pro max, the 16 pro max was a fucking tank and I’m gonna miss it for sure but the A20 pro chip, 12GB RAM and vapor chamber sure are nice, I picked the 512GB version because it uses the faster TLC storage and not the cucked QLC one that the 1TB and 2TB use.

the edit chart button doesn’t change the data’s numbers, it just lets you change the country, time, etc and if you wanna switch the type of data like smartphone brands or to smartphone OS silly kid

If my brand options are only Motorola, Samsung, and Nothing, am I wrong for considering getting a Motorola Edge 70 fusion for 350 EUR? I think the other options are a Samsung A57 for 390 EUR and a Moto G77 for 250. Nothing 4b for 330 I think.

You have to realise, for majority of people who only access the Internet on phones, navigating the options to find a slider bar is very difficult for them to understand. Default settings for default brains.

The Motorola or Samsung are both fine.
2025 models are generally better value nowadays though, I'd look at some of those.
>>
>>109955368
It's a good idea, depends on local prices of course.
Thing is the release prices are way higher than they used to be, so even 2 year old models will still be 700+ euros depending on the model.

On the other hand, they're getting 5-7 years of OS updates + a few of security updates, so a 2-3 year old flagship is a great buy that will last a long time.

SE 2022 (125 EUR) or 13 Mini (220 EUR) as a secondary/backup phone? Is the price "premium" worth it if it's not for a primary device?
Both a Mini phone and a home button phone sound fun and non-mainstream to own in 2026.

>>109959212
Yes, not even memeing, the 256gb and 512gb models have the faster TLC storage.
