The abstraction we use now is a layer above. Code Monkeys only worried about writing code, and using interpreters and compilers, it was translated into assembly or binary, I don't know. Now, AI uses common language and translates it into code... it's the same task, making secure software, but you no longer have to worry about the layer below the abstraction, just as you didn't worry about how your code was translated into binary.
