What exactly is wrong with it?

It's Jeet Tech
>>
>>109944318
Why?
>>
>>109944329
slow/weak/frail/shit etc.
>>
you have apple to thank for forcing the industry to do all the heavy lifting to destroy the lightning cable by any means necessary
>>
>>109944336
>t. lighting shill
>>
>>109944336
>slow
Faster than any USB before it
>weak
In what way?
>frail
Sometimes, but mainly due to poor chinese quality, not the spec itself.
>shit
Meaningless vague descriptor. Be more specific.
>>
>>109944354
the "spec" is a fucking joke
>>
>>109944401
What specifically makes it a joke?
>>
>>109944294
It took too long to take over. A universal standard for PC and phone that doesnโ€™t need to be rotated 5 times to get it in is perfect.
>>
>USB type shiii....
that was the joke OP was trying to go for
>>
>>109944412
FUCK YOU
>>
>highest data rate
>highest power delivery
Haters can get fucked.

Amerimutt iphone paypig
>>
>>109944336
No. It's fast/strong/robust/quality.
>>
>>109944336
What would you want it to be instead?
>>
I miss 3.5mm
>>
>>109945849
>highest power delivery
Stop raping my batteries. I don't care if it charges slowly. That's the point of charging anyway.
>>
>>109947275
The HMD Pulse I got this year still has a 3.5mm jack
>>
>>109949345
Then don't charge with the charger, plug it to your pc.

Is it USB 1.0 speeds? 2.0? 3.0? 3.1 Gen 1? 3.1 Gen 2? 3.2 Gen 2? 3.2 Gen 2x2? 4.0 Gen 2x2? 4.0 Gen 3x1? Does it have data delivery at all? A power only USB-C cable is fully within spec as are 120G USB-C speeds without power delivery. Let's not even get started on Alt Modes and USB-PD in general. Oh wait shit that's not USB-C that's actually Thunderbolt 3 whoops!

What's your solution? Go back to Micro-USB? Every Micro-USB I've used has suffered the same fate: bending up and becoming unusable unless you angle it correctly before inevitably snapping at the base. "Skill issue." Sure but I haven't had this happen with any of the USB Type-C. Thinking about this makes me a little nostalgic because before I succumbed to NEETdom I worked in an electronics department right when USB Type-C was entering the scene and would have to help grumpy boomers figure out why their phone plug wasn't plugging right.
Side note, I fetched pic related to contribute more to this thread and bizarrely this happened to me for the first time just a week ago when my grandmother's kitten got a hold of my cable.

bosnia is not a third world, greenoid.
>>
>>109944294
Why does it feel so fucking fragile?
>>
>>109949478
So you want 10 fucking ports on your machine for every separate speed bump? Are you retarded?

apple played a major part in coming up with the usb C standard and i'm convinced they made it shitty on purpose

>what? demands reasonable standards? at least an easy consistent way to tell a charging cable from a data cable? PFFFFT what are you retarded bro?
Please sterilize yourself at least, take daddys shotgun to the nuts or something.
>>
>>109944304
Wears too easily, phones gunk up easily with lint being compacted down and all of them wear down faster than any USB 1.0, mini, micro that I handled.
>>
>>109944304
because it's more like Type-CRINGE
>>
>>109953946
>wears down faster than mini/micro usb
lmao
>usb 1.0
...is not even a connector
>>
>>109949478
which is the exact same as USB-A
it's insane how many retards cannot understand the concept that USB-C is just a connector shape like USB-A was, i'm curious as to what your *superior* proposed solution would be
>>

>which is the exact same as USB-A

Objectively and completely wrong but nice job repeating what you've been told by retarded """"""tech"""""" tubers.
>>
>>109956498
Hey why don't you complete the uniformed but self important nigger trifecta and claim that USB-4 is Thunderbolt.
>>
>>109944294
TOTAL USB TYPE-C VICTORY
>>
I love USB-C and have no problem with it. I think the people crying about it are histrionic whiners.
>>
>>109956498
...care to explain how usb-c isn't just the shape of the physical connector then?
>>
>>109944304
No real equipment uses it so you end up having to have adapters sticking out of the front of the PC or just ignore them and plug everything into the back there the real USB are.
>t. workstation has USB C bullshit on it
>>
>>109956252
>i'm curious as to what your *superior* proposed solution would be
USB A. The real normal USB. THE USB

>cannot even fucking read
as i've already pointed out, USB-A isn't in any way immune from this, it's the exact same thing except maybe for the fact that [sometimes] usb-a cables have the connector color coded (blue for 3.0 and up... and nothing else really I think? some mobos use teal/red for higher speed ports but I don't think that's standard and I've never seen cables follow that color pattern).
plenty of power only usb-a cables too, thunderbolt/pd/video out and other shit like that doesn't apply only because usb-a literally doesn't (officially at least, i think) support any of that stuff
so... yeah that's not an answer to my question, retard.

Never had any USB connector fail on me.
If you are a retard you deserve to pay the retard tax for breaking your shit.
>>
>>109953513
Because of how short the plug is compared to USB A.
