Noctua releases "wire view"

>12V-2×6 power connectors can be monitored for GPU and you can turn of power if things look grim

>loud beeping noise!

requirements:
-you need to keep your PC case on your desk
-you need to have transparent glasspanel on your PC case, so you can see wire view connected into your GPU
-you need a modern Nvidia GPU because they are only ones to use these 12V-2×6 power connectors

wirewiev will be monitoring all of your 12 volt individual cables while they flow through it

you keep this contraption in between PSU and GPU

when the device finds out dangerous levels of currents its LCD screen turns red and it starts a loud BEEEEEP

at that point you should turn off your computer

even before this happens you will be seeing yellow on the LCD screen, it means a danger is possible outcome, soon

but while the screen is green, there are no worries

beeping only starts in red levels

Just put a bunch of 8-pin plugs on the card. They look cooler anyway.

i will never buy a card that needs more than 1x PCIe 8pin
it's just that shrimple

another garbage findog thread

It's Noctua branded Thermal Grizzly wireview. Also not a problem for Astral owners with built-in monitoring.
>>
>third parties have to try to find a solution to nvidia's shitty connector
>>
I'm about to buy this
>>109944411
You can have it under your desk it will beep if there's a problem
>>
>>109944434
based
>>
>>109944529
so you'll never use a mid range or better gpu?

How many of us actually had a choice in which AiB model we could grab?
I fear it's going to be the same song and dance next gen as well

Not my problem

>you should turn off your computer
why doesn't the device do that automatically, or better yet limit current draw to prevent damage?
we have the technology
>>

GPUs don't even have fuses lmao
>>

>limit current draw to prevent damage
How exactly do you suggest it do that, in a practical manner?
>>
>>109944411
>you have to:
>do a thing that most people do
>have a case feature that nearly every case on the market has
>have a product that this device is explicitly meant for
What is the problem here? Is this some half assed bait marketing tactic?

Why do you make it sound like a list of obstacles? The people who this is for have all of these things anyway.

seems so bloat makes no sense.
you can monitor power draw in software. AMD monitors current flow at connector through shunt resistor. that device ... does the same.
you can also monitor voltage drop for input voltage, and notice if you have connector issues, under load.
literally bloat. maybe useful for older gpus that do not have precise current measurement at connector
