Why would they be there?
Intel is a joke and Apple is so far behind and not even trying.

gee billy, two palantirs?

>>109944971
Wait, I thought he and Musk are now sworn enemies?
>>
>>109945409
They're not big AI players. They've both stagnated.
Apple in particular is waaay behind in the AI arms race.

Keep your enemies close, literally

intel has Gaudi 3 and HBM2e which runs 30b models pretty competitively to nvidia at simlar price point performance

apple is on a roadmap which will see their inference performance 10x in coming years.

nvidia may have been first to dominate, but intel and apple seem to be catching up.
>>
jensen hates musk btw.

They don't call him Jensen Huang for nothing.

I'll let you know when they get enough of a market share to be invited to the table

>apple is on a roadmap which will see their inference performance 10x in coming years.
If I am running at 50 km/h and you run at 25 km/h and I am accelerating at 25 km/h and you are accelerating at 20 km/h, when will you catch up to me?

> If I am running at 50 km/h and you run at 25 km/h and I am accelerating at 25 km/h and you are accelerating at 20 km/h, when will you catch up to me?
You won't catch me. I'm slower to start (25 vs. your 50 km/h), but I'm also accelerating more slowly, so the gap only grows.

I'll assume the accelerations are per hour (km/h per hour, i.e., km/h2), since "25 km/h" as an acceleration is missing a time unit.

Speeds over time (t in hours):

You: v = 50 + 25t
Me: v = 25 + 20t

Gap in speed: (50 + 25t) − (25 + 20t) = 25 + 5t km/h

That gap is positive at t = 0 and increases every hour, so you're pulling away faster and faster. Setting the speed gap to zero would need t = −5 hours, which is in the past, meaning that if we had been running like this earlier, I would have been faster than you until 5 hours ago, but that's not the situation now.

What about position? If you're ahead at t = 0 (or even starting at the same spot), the distance between us is:

Gap = (25t + 2.5t2) + starting lead

That's always increasing, so there's no positive time when I close it. The only way I'd catch you is if I started far enough ahead of you, and even then, only if the numbers were reversed (my acceleration higher than yours).

Bottom line: never, with these numbers. If I wanted to catch you, I'd need to either be accelerating faster than you or start with a higher speed.

(Also, a practical note: at 25 km/h2, after 10 hours you'd be doing 300 km/h. Neither of us is sustaining that on foot!)

the only way humanity is making it past year 2500 is a earthquake hitting that building and everyone in it dies painfully

Was it supposed to look like a micro-controller or is it a trick the AI demiurge is playing on us.

Apply shouldn't be discounted on the hardware side. Their mac studios are all sold out because people are scooping up anything even remotely useful for hosting LLMs

Apple has Apple Intelligence (AI), why would they acknowledge this new "Super Intelligence" product they didn't invent?
