Do millennials really have to step and constantly help them? Do they not understand the concept of files types and folders, zipping and unzipping and basic navigation in the userland GUI? Did big tech condition them into thinking everything is suppose to be tied to streaming services/SaaS and the GUI lacking advanced options and just being large grid icons/mobile style? I know exceptions will always exist and some zoomers are smart but let's discuss the phenomena of zoomers being idiots when it comes to tech. Discuss extremes cases where a zoomer doesn't even understand the Windows taskbar or files/folders or does something embarrassing at school and work regarding tech

In any generation, there is about 15-20-25% of people who know what a folder is. Why focus on one in particular?

>why are we focusing on zoomers

The hypothesis is that zoomers are more susceptible to illiteracy because they grew up in a different world then the millenials using Windows XP 1 gig of RAM with DSL 1MBps internet speed in 2008. Millenials had to learn the basic file folder userland stuff. Future generations got ultra curated userlands from big tech that make the machine more streamlined and hide its "file folder like" behavior. This is what dumbed them down

You're having too much faith in millennials as a whole, I'm an older zoomer (23), but young enough that I got to experience having a couple millennial teachers: They have about the same tech literacy as any other gen, maybe a slight edge at best

The whole thing sounds to me like arguing if the gap is 5% more tech-literate Zoomers or 5% less.

Nah just look at the state of 4chan as a shining example. There's zero new OC because millenials are to busy slaving away to fund boomer pensions and zoomers don't even know how to keep a meme folder on their iphones. It's just endless text only on a fucking IMAGE board

Here is a meme pic from 2011. It only took Nvidia 15 years to actually become house fires with the 12VHPWR cables.
