In the 00s tech boom that produced many billionaires and many more multimillionaires, the people who got richest weren’t engineers who knew how to tune an OS kernel or even what it was. The people who got richest were previous no coders who had good business acumen and ideas, and then used “brainless, normie scum” tools like Ruby on Rails or NodeJS to make products people wanted. No CS degree required.

In the 2024-2030 span, many more billionaires and multimillionaires are going to be produced in a new tech boom. They won’t know or care how to build distributed systems or what a CPU instruction is, they will use LLMs to write code that makes their product vision come to life.

Many here will seethe at this.

> People who defend or align with the wealthy while holding onto the aspiration or belief that they will become wealthy themselves are often described as temporarily embarrassed capitalists (frequently misquoted or adapted as "temporarily embarrassed millionaires")

It's because it all comes down to sales. Not tech. Tech demands honest. Whereas success in sales demands lying.

Yes, and the version that becomes successful will be the one chosen by the VC connected in-group of global tech, because they will have the funding to simply drown out any competition.

As soon as anyone makes anything even remotely worthwhile using AI like you say, it’s going to get hyped beyond belief to try and attract more paying customers for AI. It’s going be exactly like those obviously planted news stories about how literally any woman can make millions every month by using OnlyFans, even though the overwhelming majority of women on there can’t even make a living from their daily female humiliation rituals.
